Soul Caliber V and the Ezio Factor

I don't play a lot of fighting games—for no reason other than when I sit down to play something I prefer a story with more meat to it. Unless, of course, it's Hydrothunder which I will play every day until I die probably. However, I've been thinking about making an exception for Soul Caliber V (US release Jan 31) . One, because no one in my tweet stream will shut up about it and two because of the Ezio Auditore Da Firenze factor but not in the way you might think. Unless you think it's a sex thing and then yes exactly in the way you might think. In fact, I like the way you think. Keep it up. Innuendos! Sorry.

I have heard not everyone is a fan of the decision to add Ezio to SCV which I understand is a subjective taste kind thing (some weird people don't like Assassin's Creed and I think those people should all be quarantined and forced to play Dark Souls for all eternity) but personally I would prefer ALL games allowed for an Ezio cameo. Off the top of my head? Dead Space 2, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Mass Effect, Splinter Cell (omg), and Mario Kart. And I would poop my pants if Ezio showed up in Alan Wake wearing a plaid flannel shirt and lurking somewhere inside a creepy sawmill or within the shadow of a Douglas Fir and carrying an axe.

Still, the sprinkling of a little Ezio on Ezio action on top of a game is not for everyone so I'm curious as to which characters would be palatable to the (crazy) people (jerks) who are not into my favorite assassin? Sam Fisher? Veronica Mars ( SHUT UP SOMEDAY THIS WILL BE A GAME) ? Chell? Garrus (HELL YES)? Who? And more important who do you think would defeat Nightmare without breaking a sweat?
