Eat Sleep Play may not be in the market to produce 'core' titles anymore, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy their latest effort, Twisted Metal.
The new Twisted Metal is the eighth installment in the classic Twisted Metal series of slasher movie inspired vehicular destruction games, and is exclusive to the PlayStation 3.
The game itself was headed up by David Jaffe, creator of the series. Originally slated as a PSN-only title, the game's development shifted into something much larger and went through a series of twists and turns during its development before it ended up in its present, and final incarnation.
That said, I'm not here to give you a history of Twisted Metal. instead, I'd like to draw attention to some of the game's glitches. It's no surprise that in spite of its 3-year development period, the game is full of bugs and glitches, many of which are more amusing than annoying, really.
Here's five of them.
As if the game didn't sound raucous enough, this particular glitch destroys all the sound effects in the game. It may well be the creepiest sound effect I've ever heard, and I don't think it's intentional.
As if the matchmaking system in Twisted Metal wasn't bad enough, you'll sometimes get stuck in the buildings.
Here's what happens when two vehicles spawn in the same area. Apparently Eat Sleep Play hasn't heard of the 'telefragged' concept, invented over a decade ago by id Software.
This is a thing that happens a lot online. A vehicle gets stuck in a wall and it can't get out.
This is the first day the guy who uploaded this video played Twisted Metal, and it's one of the first things he ran into. This car won't stop spinning—because hey, bugs!
