Halo 4 – Specializations Strategy Guide

In Halo 4 specializations are a brand new feature that allows you to take your Halo Spartan to whole new levels of mastering specific skill sets.  Unlike the past Halo’s where you simply collect points until you reached the maximum level,  now when you reach rank SR-50 you will be able to choose a specialization.  Each Specialization includes a total of 10 levels which must be completed before advancing through another Specialization.   These unlocks include:

• Armor Mod
• Armor Set (Helmet, Chose, Left/Right Shoulder)
• Armor Set Skin (Helmet, Chest, Left/Right Shoulder)
• Weapon Skin
• 4 Foreground Emblems
• 1 Background Emblem
• 1 Visor Color

So what is a specialization exactly?  Well when you have achieved a specialization you will receive the bonus abilities or features of that specific specialization, for example Pioneer specialization will help you gain XP faster and the Wetworks will have abilities such as less visible to Promethean Vision and quieter when sprinting.  Specializations also allow you to unlock Support upgrades and Tactical packages for your load outs which as you know are super important in Halo 4 game strategy and living.

For the standard edition of Halo 4 you will start with two specializations (Wetworks and Pioneer) while the people who have purchased the “Limited Edition” Halo will be able to access all eight specializations.  Specializations can be used in both Spartan Ops and in the Multiplayer War Games.

Halo 4 Specializations

Specialization: Wetworks

This specialization allows you to move quickly and silently in combat situations executing quick assassinations.

• Less Visible to Promethean Vision
• Quieter when sprinting
• Shorter assassinations
• Will still appear on radar

Specialization: Pioneer

This specialization allows you to gain more XP and ranking up faster in the process.

• Gain XP faster
• Only gains XP when mod is in use
• Has to be use throughout the whole match (cannot just turn it on at the end and gain additional XP)

Specialization: Tracker

This specialization can recall their own ordnance requests in order to acquire more helpful weapons in the field.

• Allows you to reject ordnance choices you are given
• Allows you to re-roll the dice and get 3 new choices (weapons/grenades/powerup’s)

Specialization: Rogue

This specialization allows you  to increase aiming and stability when being fired upon.

• Not necessarily unzoomed when being shot with a scope
• More stable shots
• Improves hip fire accuracy

Specialization: Stalker

This specialization allows you  to target and track down previous attacking enemies, highlighting them on their armor’s passive sensors.

• Nemesis armor mod
• Makes an icon of the last person you killed pop up on your screen
• Allows you to track the person who just killed you

Specialization: Pathfinder

This specialization allows you to decrease the time a weapon overheats when occupying a vehicle weapon position and increase their own speed while carrying a detached turret.

• Reduces cool-down time for vehicle weapons overheating
• Move faster when carrying a turret
• Turrets become more powerful

Specialization: Operator

This specialization allows you to improve the vehicles they drive by improving their stamina and durability.

• Increases your resistance to EMP pulses to vehicles
• Better resistance to your vehicle when shot with a plasma pistol
• More assists and points for driving
