  • Traveling

Being a game where survival is stressed, traveling through the areas of the game comes with a certain risk. It’s not only enemy ambushes you should be looking out for but also the environment itself, which can cause Lara’s death. Watch out before jumping over some opening on the ground to reach another platform: while getting on the edge, the game will tell you when to press the jump button, meaning that you can jump safely. Still, you need to keep focused as Lara can move in the air slightly and it can messs up your jump. Make sure you save as often as you can before exploring a new area as not all jumps are going to be safe and a fall always means death.

Also be careful when jumping into rivers and pools: contrary to what you may expect, the fall will end up killing Lara as they are not deep at all. The only way you can survive from a high jump by landing on a zip line, which actually makes descents faster. Still you won’t find them everywhere and you’ll still need to be careful about your jumps.
