Skylanders Giants Starter Guide: Skystones

Pretty much everyone who has been gaming in the past few years knows about the innovative Skylanders games created by Activision: the series has become so successful that it’s become one of the most successful franchises published by the company. And for a good reason, I might add: the Skylanders games have brought an interesting new concept into the gaming world. Players are able to bring some special collectible toys into the game’s world and use them inside the game itself. The concept has become so successful that even Nintendo has tried something like this for the Pokemon series.

The first Skylanders game used a well known character of the gaming world: Spyro the Dragon. The second Skylanders game has been released during the last months of 2012 on pretty much every available home platform: Pc, Mac, Ps3, Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U. A portable version og the game is also available on Nintendo 3DS.

If you’re new to the franchise and you may want to get into collecting toys and using them inside your game you have come to the right place: we will be covering some of the game’s basics before delving deeper into everything Skylaners Giants has to offer.

Before we begin, please note that if you have some Skylanders Figures used in Spyro’s Adventure you will be able to use them in this game as well. If you don’t have any figure you will have to purchase at least one Skylander figure as well as the Skylanders Start Pack which includes the Portal Of Power. The Portal Of Power is required to play the game so take all this into account before deciding on playing the game.

After we will have covered all the basics of Skylander we will be taking care of all the Ability upgrades, the Auric’s Shops, the available Quests, the Heroic and Arena challenges, Feats of Strength and anything else which will help you enjoy the game more than ever. It’s a magical journey ahead of us so make sure to sit tight and enjoy the ride!
