Avoiding fights is all well and good but you may probably not be able to do it every time. When having to fight enemies, stealth remains one of the best options, taking down enemies individually without being seen: you can also drag an opponent and finish him in a quiet area.

A good way to kill enemies is by throwing bricks or bottles: once you see a green circle appear on them you can just press R1 to throw the item for a 1 hit kill.

When fighting multiple enemies the best way to survive is by using one of them as a human shield and then fight. Using a brick or a bottle in the middle of the group will also allow you to gather them: use a molotov on the group and watch them fly.

If you don’t have any other option other than using guns, make sure you always aim for a headshot to save time and save bullets. After a gun fight make sure to reload all your weapons.
