Animal Crossing New Leaf Fishing Guide: Angelfish – Arowana

Animal Crossing: New Leaf is the latest entry in Nintendo’s long running series about enjoying the quiet life.

Despite casual appeal, Animal Crossing has been one of the most successful properties  launched by the Japanese company, thanks to it’s simple yet engaging premise. Animal Crossing owes much of it’s success to the many customization options given to players. The extensive list of ways to customize, allows players to change their character and house with tons of personalized options, while also allowing the player to interact with their neighbors in some really interesting ways.

New Leaf brings some welcome additions to the gameplay formula, making the title even more addicting than before. Customization options have been vastly increased for both character and house, allowing for a great number of alterations. As if the enhanced level of customization wasn’t enough, players will have the possibility, for the first time ever, to become the mayor of their own town. This new gameplay mechanic allows the new virtual mayors to  customize their town, and improve the well being of it’s citizens through construction and public works projects. Creating a good city will allow you to get a Perfect Town, through a 100% approval rating , and the appreciation of your virtual citizens.

As usual you’ll also be able to take part in a lot of different activities for the game: bug catching, diving, fishing and more. Animal Crossing: New Leaf is truly the perfect game for all those players who love to collect items. Finding everything in the game will be a lot of  extra hard work.

Among the new features introduced in Animal Crossing: New Leaf are Spot Pass features, DLC and Online Play that make the best use of the Nintendo 3DS’s unique functionality.

Fishing is one of the best ways to obtain large amounts of bells in New Leaf, with many of the 72 fish that can be caught through out the game fetching a high resale price. This is good news, as fishing represents a relatively simply task. Equip your fishing rod and search for fish swallows that can be found in the river, in small ponds, in the Ocean and on the Tropical Island. Please note that the fish you can catch change depending on the location and the time of the year. A good tip that will help you consistently catch is that no fish will nibble more than five time: if the fish didn’t take the bait by the fourth nibble, be prepared to reel it in on the fifth!

In the Fishing Guides we will be covering all the 72 fish that can be found in the game in alphabetical order.
