LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Easter Eggs and References

There's so much to explore in the world of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes that it can be easy to miss all of the Easter Eggs and references that usually come with any LEGO game. Some are even found in the names of the trophies and achievements! As always we are here to help with this handy guide on how to find some of the best ones.

Main Misssions

Doctor in the House
During the opening cut scene of the mission when Mr Fantastic turns in to a parachute he will say “I saw this in a movie once”. This is a reference to the movie The Incredibles.

Exploratory Laboratory
When enemies begin to appear Hawkeye will comment “It looks like...they're coming out the walls”. This is a reference to a line from the movies Aliens.

Bifrosty Reception
When the heroes are travelling through the Bifrost you may notice Dr Who's familiar Blue Police Box. During the level you will come across a minikit puzzle that will reveal the “Infinity Gauntlet”. A weapon that Thanos, the villain from the teaser at the end of The Avengers, is known to wield.

House Party Protocol
After building the DJ station for the party Nick Fury will say “And you will know I am the DJ when I lay my beats down on you!”. This is a reference to Samuel L Jackson's famous line in Pulp Fiction.

End Credits
During the end credits a cut scene will start similar to the teasers that appear at the end of Marvel movies. The end credits will feature The Guardians of the Galaxy. Black Panther will appear also, at first resembling LEGO Batman.

Free Roam

• Enter the hangar of the Hellicarrier, when there go up to one of the S.H.I.E.L.D agents who will say “Snakes... why did it have to be snakes!”. This is a reference to a line from Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Arc. When speaking to the Agent he will ask you to get rid of some snakes saying that Nick Fury told him to “Get these gosh-darn snakes of my Helicarrier!”. This is a reference to Samuel L Jackson's famous line in the movie Snakes on a Plane.

• Fly over to the Statue of Liberty and she will give you a wink and a nod.

• Just before starting the mission “Bifrosty Reception” the Human Torch will reference Mario Kart by saying that Asgard's Rainbow Road makes him want to race.



Trophies and Achievements

Red Head Detention
This may be reference to the game Red Dead Redemption, created by Rockstar.

The Good, The Bad and The Hungry

This is a reference to the movie The Good The Bad and The Ugly.

Falling... With Style
This is a quote from the movie Toy Story.

Welcome to Level 7
This is a reference to the TV series Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Don't I Know You?
This will be awarded when teaming up Captain America with The Human Torch. This is a reference to Chris Evans who has played both roles in separate movies.

I'm Always Angry
This line is spoken in the Avengers movie by Bruce Banner.

Puny God
This is awarded after attacking Loki with the Hulk. It is a reference to when the same happens in The Avengers movie.

The Toast of Croydon
This is a reference to the character Trevor Slattery/The Mandarin from Iron Man 3.
