Titanfall Maps: Details and Latest Information

The full roster of Titanfall maps has been revealed and it is now confirmed that there will be 15 of them in which to cause some gleeful online destruction.

Alongside information that there will be monsters in Titanfall, a more detailed understanding of the game is starting to take shape. The maps, set on multiple different planets, will feature some nice additional extras from what was seen in the beta, such as heavy turrets that reportedly take several Titans to destroy (but can be hacked to turn them to your cause) and ziplines that a Pilot can zip down (or up, apparently).

It has also become apparent that there is a prestige system Titanfall similar to that of Call Of Duty titles. The system, currently known as “Generations”, allows the player to reset their level, experience and unlocks, while retaining their burn card collection and earning a 10% boost to their subsequently gained XP. It is currently unknown how many Generations will be available in the game, although judging by earlier Call Of Duty games, 10-15 seems to set the standard.

The maps that have been leaked are named as follows (click to see detailed view):

Airbase
Angel City
Boneyard
Colony
Corporate
Demeter
Fracture
Lagoon
Nexus
Outpost
Overlook
Relic
Rise
Smuggler
Training Ground

With regards once again to the much talked-about monsters, it seems that the larger ones (dubbed as Leviathans, pictured below) will be little more than a backdrop, although there may be circumstances in which they may enter the map fully and become embroiled in the gameplay. Incidentally, the map Boneyard is designed around a Leviathan skeleton; whether this is significant or not is yet to be discovered…
