Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition Lady Gameplay Walkthrough Video

A 50 minute walkthrough video has gone live for Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition, which is due to release on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on June 23rd. Yep, it’s going head-to-head with Batman: Arkham Knight.

The video covers all the moves and special abilities of Lady, going through her firearms, melee attacks and her jump and special attacks. You can check out the full video below courtesy of the guys at Capcom and YouTube outlet XusesGB.

Lady is firearm focused. She’s 100% human so instead of getting demon or enchanted weapons, she has pistols, shotguns and rocket launchers at her disposal. She has some basic melee attacks but they’re kind of slow compared to her projectile moves.

And since Lady is human and not a demon, she doesn’t get a double jump in the standard way of other characters. Instead, Lady can use the launcher to double-jump into the air… Quake style.

Each of Lady’s weapons can also be used in charged bursts that can scale for up to three levels. Each weapon’s charge attack works against various enemies for different scenarios.

One of Lady’s special attacks with the pistol is an Equilibrium-style Gun-Kata technique, which looks pretty cool. One of the special attacks of the shotgun is a thrusting attack that can be used to get out of a tight spot.

After going through nearly eight whole minutes of a tutorial for Lady’s moves and abilities, the video finally moves into showing off how Lady can kick butt and take names, applying all the previously mentioned special abilities into a collage of weaponized castigation against the demons.

By the 20 minute mark they move out of the arena-style survival and begin progressing through the game’s levels. So if you’re not keen on seeing too much before you get your hands on the game, just a fair word of warning.

Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition is, once again, set for release on June 23rd, 2015. Need more info? There really isn’t, but you can check out the Capcom Unity page anyway.
