Folks playing on PC, Xbox One and PS4 will all have a simple shot at getting the rare leg armor Freefall in Fallout 4. There are two ways to achieve this piece of armor, which the second method will prove to be easier than the first.
Starting off with the first method, which is the hardest, you will need your very own power armor, a jet pack and some buffs to slow down time. During this operation you will also need to quicksave quite a bit, so you won’t keep falling to the bottom.
First, head to the Mass Fusion building and go to an elevator that is accessible later on in the game, which is on the fifth floor. After going up somewhere to the eighth floor, you will then need to use your jet pack to scale up some walls into two rooms that have nothing underneath their entrances to reach them. The first door will be accessible by using a rail to fly up into a crevice in the wall, until you can jet pack up into the first non-reachable room.
You will need to jet pack across the opposite side of the room into a wall facing you, and repeat the crevice jumping until you make it to the second room. Inside the last un-reachable room you will find a safe that you will have to unlock. After picking it open you will be able to get the Freefall right and left leg armor, this will grant you the ability to take no damage from falling without using your power armor.
You can watch PS4 Trophies‘ attempt at the Freefall armor, which runs close to five minutes, while giving those who are stuck on this part a nice guide on how to get to the top floor.
If that seems too hard, you can also use the second method that involves the flying glitch, which uses a thrown item or an item lying around on the ground. pick it up and look down while smashing up against a wall to start flying/levitating. You can watch the flying video that Outside the Box posted up, which should help you get to the top of the building to get the Freefall armor leg set.
