Syndicate achievement and trophy guide

There are a lot of skill-based achievements in Syndicate, so we’ve whipped up just as many videos showing exactly how to get the job done. The rest require nothing more than some good old-fashioned time, especially those involving co-op. Just make sure to check each achievement carefully to see if there is a difficulty level requirement.

What some achievements won’t tell you is whether or not they are available in single-player or co-op only. As such, descriptions for achievements that are attainable only during co-op are preceded by “(CO-OP).” Happy hunting!

All Aboard

20g/Bronze

Complete chapters 2, 3, 4, and 5 on normal or hard difficulty

Self-explanatory. This will unlock as you progress through the campaign, provided you aren’t on easy difficulty.

Ambassador of Peace

15g/Bronze

Kill enemy soldiers of two different syndicates fast enough to receive a rampage energy bonus

This should happen naturally during Milestone 19. There are two syndicates fighting during this chapter, so it’s hard not to fulfill the requirements. Hack the turret at the beginning of the chapter and the work will be done for you.

Application Manager

20g/Bronze

Do 10,000 points of damage and heal or block 10,000 points of damage using applications

This will likely happen naturally around the end of the campaign. If you want a lot of healing points quickly, just join a co-op game and constantly heal your teammates.

Augmented Reality

15g/Bronze

Kill 3 specters in chapter 14 without using EMP effects on them, on normal or hard difficulty

In order to see the specters more clearly, use your DART Overlay. Just turn it on and take them out. There are a lot more than just 3 specters in chapter 14, so don’t worry about missing your opportunities.

Business is War

50g/Gold

Complete all chapters which track difficulty, on hard difficulty

Hard isn’t as hard as you might expect in this game. Just make liberal (but smart) use of your DART Overlay to turn the tides in your favor. Make sure to never stray far from cover, and always use persuade first if you’re fighting multiple baddies at once.

Campaign: Downzone

20g/Bronze

Complete chapters 12, 13, 14, and 15 on normal or hard difficulty

Self-explanatory. This will unlock as you progress through the campaign, provided you are not on easy difficulty.

Campaign: Eurocorp

20g/Bronze

Complete chapters 7 and 8 on normal or hard difficulty

Self-explanatory. This will unlock as you progress through the campaign, provided you are not on easy difficulty.

Campaign: La Ballena

20g/Bronze

Complete chapters 10 and 11 on normal or hard difficulty

Self-explanatory. This will unlock as you progress through the campaign, provided you are not on easy difficulty.

CEO

100g/Gold

100% completion (level, research, and challenges)

(CO-OP) This only applies to completion of the co-op portion. You can check your overall progress in the agent menu. The level cap is currently 30. You can check your challenge progress (and what you need to do to complete each one) in the contracts and challenges sub-menu. There’s no quick way to do this, but it’s important to always have any uncompleted challenges in mind and always have something being researched. In time, this achievement will unlock.

Cover Lover

10g/Bronze

Make it past the conveyor best without taking any damage from the turret

As soon as you begin the level you’ll be in a giant room with a turret at the center. If you look carefully, there are control panels on the sides of the conveyor belts. Breach them to turn them on, then use the moving crates for cover. You’ll need to do this twice as you take a zigzag path through the room. When you reach the power switch for the jammer, the turret can still target you through the hole in the window. Wait until it turns away, then breach it to take control. The achievement will unlock when you reach the next set of doors.

Deny Everything

30g/Bronze

Find all propaganda tags (unlock all propaganda tag infobank entries)

We have a separate guide for finding business cards and propaganda tags. Check it out here.

Employee of the Month

10g/Bronze

Complete a mission after earning a team savior score

(CO-OP) A team savior score is earned by one who completes the mission after having been the last man standing. You don’t have to remain last man standing for the duration of the mission - only for a moment. So, if you are only playing with one other person, simply reboot them once at some point and finish the mission for an easy 10g.

Every Bullet Counts

30g/Bronze

Defeat Tatsuo without restocking your ammunition from the UAVs, on normal or hard difficulty

Tatsuo is the boss in chapter 4. Since you can’t breach the UAV drones for extra ammo, make sure to be well stocked beforehand. If you have a Gauss Rifle, this is a piece of cake. If not, make liberal use of your Overlay to increase damage and fire in short bursts. Your biggest challenge will be avoiding an accidental UAV drone breach.

If you do run short on ammo, there should be plenty of weapons left over from the firefight beforehand.  About halfway through the boss battle, a wave of normal baddies will show up to offer even more ammo.

Field Surgeon

10g/Bronze

Heal 3 team members for at least 50% of their health within 1 minute

You can manufacture the right circumstance if you have three willing teammates, but if not, go into a co-op match with a healing-only mindset. Without you aiding in the shooting, your teammates will likely take more damage, which, if you are constantly healing, means this achievement can be knocked out in no time.

Gaggle of Guidance

5g/Bronze

Use the Swarm’s multi-target lock-on firing mode to kill 3 UAV drones with one volley

During Milestone 10, you’ll come across the Swarm missile launcher on a red rack against the wall. Very soon after, you’ll find yourself outside battling a swarm of UAV drones. Make sure to breach them as they are launched, but don’t shoot them down until you’ve breached at least three and they’ve grouped relatively close together. From there, all you need to do is lock on with the launcher and reap the easy 5g.

Golden Handshake

5g/Bronze

Achieve CEO ranking on any level

CEO rank is not hard to achieve on easy levels such as the first. Maintain decent accuracy, go for headshots, try to avoid damage, and move quickly. These are some of the factors that determine the ranking you get at the end of each level.

Greed is Good

35g/Bronze

Achieve CEO ranking on all chapters which track difficulty, on hard difficulty

You can see the factors that determine your ranking at the end of each chapter. Even on hard, getting CEO rank isn't particularly difficult once you’re familiar with the game’s mechanics. Make sure to invest in the Killing Spree (double rampage timer), Adrenaline Rush (40% increase in energy gain), Synchronize (25% longer overlay duration), and Augmented Overlay (25% more damage in overlay mode) chip upgrades. An increased rampage meter means easier combos, more energy means more opportunities for breach spikes, and a better DART Overlay means more killing in less time.

Make sure to use DART Overlay often, particularly to line up headshots.  Also, if you’re playing on hard, chances are you've had some experience with breach spikes (perfect breaches), so focus on using your abilities as often as you can. Finally, don’t forget to move quickly; time completion time is a factor in your final score.

Hacker

30g/Bronze

Use breach abilities 300 times

This will come naturally with enough play, though it probably won’t unlock on your first playthrough (unless you die often). Check your progress by viewing player statistics from the ‘extras’ sub menu.

Half-Millionaire

30g/Bronze

Collect 500,000 energy

Breach spikes, headshots, and rampage kills are common ways to get extra energy. If you want to unlock this achievement quicker, invest in the Killing Spree (double rampage timer) and Adrenaline Rush (40% increase in energy gain) chip upgrades as soon as possible. Check your progress by viewing player statistics from the ‘extras’ sub menu.

Highly Adaptable

10g/Bronze

Kill 4 enemies in 4 different ways within 1 minute

Not difficult at all, so long as you have a decent opportunity. You’ll always have at least 3 ways to kill an enemy: melee, primary weapon, and secondary weapon. If you’re in the campaign, you’ll have suicide for a guaranteed kill or breach if the enemy is already weakened. Then there’s grenades and weapon pickups from downed enemies. If you’d like to manufacture the perfect scenario, create a private co-op game. Your character will start with grenades, guaranteeing four methods of murder. Just rush the first group of enemies you see. Use of the defensive build’s shields will help if you’re having any trouble.

High Flyer

15g/Bronze

Score a 2,000 points combo

(CO-OP) The key to this achievement lies in playing on expert. Every action is worth an incredible amount of points, meaning you’ll often end missions at 20,000+ points. Chain some actions together (heal, headshots, reboots, etc.) and you’ll have this in no time.

High Value Asset

25g/Bronze

Complete all Co-Op maps on expert difficulty

(CO-OP) While there’s not much we can say to help you here besides “be awesome at games,” we would like to remind everyone that you have to beat a mission at least once before expert mode becomes available. There, we helped.

Hostile Takeover

10g/Bronze

Defeat an enemy agent squad

(CO-OP) The first time you run into an enemy agent squad will be at the end of Atlantic Accelerator, the third co-op mission. While you don’t have to personally kill the entire squad, you do have to kill at least one agent yourself and complete the mission.

Hurt Locker

30g/Bronze

Breach 873 grenades

That’s a lot of grenades. This certainly won’t unlock during your first playthrough naturally. If you’re looking to game the system a bit, just wait until you are in one of the later level’s larger firefights and stay in cover. Enemies will toss plenty of grenades your way; simply turn towards them and breach. This requires no energy and is relatively easy: just look out for the grenade icon, which tells you where the explosive landed. Check your progress by viewing player statistics from the ‘extras’ sub menu.

In the name of Science

5g/Bronze

Finish your first research

(CO-OP) All you need to do is go to the weapon research sub menu of the agent menu in co-op mode, select a weapon, unlock the research with tokens (which you get for completing missions), select it for research, then continue playing. As you go through co-op missions, ‘research’ is done automatically.

Initial Public Offering

10g/Bronze

Be a member of a Syndicate consisting of at least 4 people

(CO-OP) You can either invite free agents into your own syndicate, or become a free agent and wait to be invited yourself. If you have three other friends on your friends list who play Syndicate, this should be no problem.

Initiation Complete

10g/Bronze

Complete all Co-Op maps on any difficulty

(CO-OP) On normal, this is not a difficult task, assuming you are always with three other players. You’ll need to complete a mission before the next one unlocks. You can also gain access to locked missions by joining a game in which the host has chosen one.

Linked In

5g/Bronze

Obtain a health bonus from network connection links from your upgrade choices (single player only)

The first chance you get to upgrade during the campaign, you’ll have two points to spend. Just unlock two adjacent skills for an easy 5g.

Little Black Book

30g/Bronze

Find all business cards (unlock all the business card infobank entries)

We have a separate guide for finding business cards and propaganda tags. Check it out here.

Mace Ace

5g/Bronze

Save a team member that is stunned by an electron mace

(CO-OP) The electron maces first show up during the Colorado co-op mission. The stronger enemies carry them. All you have to do it take out one of these enemies while they are using the mace (which holds a person in place) on your teammate to unlock this achievement.

Make It Snappy

10g/Bronze

Kill 50 enemies with melee executions

If you want to knock this out quickly, invest in the Executioner chip upgrade as soon as possible. This allows you to run around hostile areas taking foes out without having to worry as much about health, since every melee kill will heal you.

Make Them Watch

30g/Bronze

Kill Agent Crane before you kill his two sidekicks, on normal or hard difficulty

Since Crane’s sidekicks have a tendency to jump in front of him, there are only two feasible ways to do this. The first is to use a Gauss Rifle (if you have one), which will allow you lock on to only Crane. You still have to exercise some discretion though, as even though your bullets will seek Crane out, the henchman can still get in the way.

The other way is to run to the left wall in front of you, flip on Overlay, and go nuts with the shotgun when Crane pops out of his spawning area. The Overlay should slow things down enough for you to take Crane down before your energy runs out, assuming you are close enough. Just don’t get too close; Crane has a nasty melee attack.

Mastermind

5g/Bronze

Unlock the Datacore in the minimum number of breaches

The minimum number of breaches is two, but the only way to be quick enough to pull that off is by using your DART Overlay. Flip it on, breach the left side, and then quickly breach the right.

Middle Management

50g/Bronze

50% completion (level, research, and challenges)

(CO-OP) This only applies to completion of the co-op portion. You can check your overall progress in the agent menu. You can check your challenge progress (and what you need to do to complete each one) in the contracts and challenges sub-menu. The level cap is currently 30. There’s no quick way to do this, but it’s important to always have any uncompleted challenges in mind and always have something being researched. In time, this achievement will unlock.

Missile Command

30g/Bronze

Breach an entire barrage of five missiles in the Ramon boss fight, on normal or hard difficulty

The trick here is to put the full distance of the room between Ramon and yourself. When his laser target turns blue, he’s readying a volley of missiles. Wait for him to cock his gun, then turn on your DART Overlay. This slows down time, allowing you to breach all five missiles - assuming you’re far enough away.

Nowhere to hide

30g/Bronze

Use a penetration weapon to kill 500 enemies through cover, while in DART Overlay

The most common penetration weapons are the Kunasagi ACR-10 assault rifle on secondary fire mode and the Kunasagi HSR-6 sniper rifle. One of the easiest places to do this is the first chapter, though replaying enough to get this achievement would be excruciating. As long as you keep this challenge in mind, you’ll have plenty of opportunities during the campaign and co-op. Remember that the sniper rifle can penetrate more than just one layer of cover. You’ll be amazed what you can shoot through! Check your progress by viewing player statistics from the ‘extras’ sub menu.

Oh no you don’t!

10g/Bronze

Complete 10 Contracts against members of your syndicate

(CO-OP) Contracts don’t even appear unless people on your friends list play co-op or you belong to a Syndicate with more members than just yourself. If either of these criteria are met, your friends will automatically create contracts for you by performing better than you. Check the contracts and challenges sub-menu to see if there are any contracts available.

Rampageous

15g/Bronze

Do 250 rampage kills/kill streaks

A rampage kill is earned if you kill an enemy within three seconds of another. If you have the “Killing Spree” chip upgrade, the time window doubles to six seconds. This achievement should come naturally over time, especially with the above mentioned chip upgrade. You’ll have a lot of opportunities for successive kills during co-op, and even more so if you only play with one other player. Check your progress by viewing player statistics from the ‘extras’ sub menu.

Revival Meeting

30g/Bronze

Defeat the final boss without allowing any agent to be revived, on normal or hard difficulty

You don’t actually have to defeat the final boss for this to unlock, just the two agents. There a few different ways to do this, but we recommend the following: begin the battle by shooting Merit. This causes him to temporarily leave the picture, allowing you to focus on the agents. Only target one of them for now, using breach to deactivate her armor. If you’re carrying the Gauss Rifle from the previous chapter, this battle is a lot easier. We purposely didn’t use one in the video to show how this is done with the default loadout.

The DART Overlay will help you rush the enemy very quickly after you’ve breached the shields, and keeping Merit down means you’ll have one less enemy shooting at you. Once the first agent falls, run up and execute her. If you weren’t quick enough, Merit will be back, and he’ll resurrect his ally, so make sure he’s gone before you put the agent in the knockdown state. Rinse and repeat with the second agent.

See No Evil

30g/Bronze

Defeat Kris without making him visible using EMP or DART Overlay, on normal or hard difficulty

The rules are laid out for you in the description. Watch out for the EMP mines already deployed; if you set one off and Kris gets caught in the blast, it’s all over. The simplest method is to run left into the kitchen and wait in the corner, facing the direction of the room’s entrance (see screen above). Kris will only fire from this heading, and will reveal himself momentarily whenever he does. Keep on him until his health is half gone.

After the short scene, all of the EMP mines will be deactivated and Kris will no longer fire at you. Simply chase him around and finish the job. He’s often semi-visible during this portion of the fight, and if you happen to lose him, listen for his voice or footsteps.

Shield Breaker

10g/Bronze

Successfully sprint tackle 25 riot shield units

To sprint tackle, hold down sprint and simply run into an enemy. If done on shielded units, they’ll drop their shields. As long as you make it a priority to take out all shield units you see in this manner, the achievement should be no sweat. The China co-op mission features a fair number of these guys if you need to boost.

Shocking

10g/Bronze

Kill 3 or more enemies from the electricity discharge of a dying electro armor unit

Electro armor units first appear in Milestone 17, though a decent opportunity to earn this achievement won’t appear until Milestone 19. The trick is to bring the unit to within an inch of death as quickly as possible then wait for at least three normal enemies to come near before finishing the job.

Load up Milestone 19 and reach the large outside area where waves of enemies are constantly attacking. One of the waves will come from a small garage along the right wall and contain an electro armor unit. Quickly turn on your DART Overlay and take him down before his allies can spread out. You’ll also have opportunities to do this later in the corridors, as well as during co-op play.

Super Solider

10g/Bronze

Complete a mission without going down

(CO-OP) Not difficult if playing one of the early missions on normal. Just hang back from the front lines, killing who you can from a distance and constantly healing your teammates in order to compensate for your lack of offense.

Syndicated

20g/Bronze

Complete the game on any difficulty

If you’re after achievements, we’d assume this one takes care of itself...

The Professional

20g/Bronze

Kill 50 enemies with all the weapons in the game

You may not get your hands on every weapon during the campaign, but you certainly will playing through co-op. No real trick to this one; just play a lot! Check your progress by viewing player statistics from the ‘extras’ sub menu.

Top Marks

15g/Bronze

Achieve a perfect result in all the Tutorial challenges

Once you’ve played them during the campaign, the tutorial challenges can be accessed at any time via chapter select. The simulation will tell you what is required for a perfect score; we’ll show you how it’s done.

Warpath

5g/Bronze

Get the rampage bonus up to 5 sequential kills

Chances are you’ll unlock this naturally during the campaign. If you want to make it easier, purchase the “Killing Spree” chip upgrade which doubles the rampage timer.

Welcome to EuroCorp

5g/Bronze

Complete Wakeup Call

Wakeup Call is the game’s first Milestone (or chapter). Simply complete it unlock this achievement.

Wetware Integrity Policy

20g/Bronze

Don’t kill any EuroCorp civilians with the minigun in chapter 8

Make sure to hold down the left trigger while you have the minigun equipped to keep it spinning. This allows you to fire instantaneously, and reduces to odds of you mowing down any innocents. Also, short bursts is the name of the game here. If you just wait for the civilians to clear out before going nuts this can be an easy 20g/bronze.

With Friends Like These

15g/Bronze

Kill an enemy from the explosion of a reactive armor unit

A reactive armor unit will first show up in Milestone 8 weilding a minigun. This guy will explode when you breach him for the third time, so make he’s close to one of his henchmen before finishing the job. The blast radius is very small, so be patient. As you can see in the video, things can get glitchy during this fight. Still, we brought things to a proper close in case you’re not so lucky.
