Mission 1/Tutorial: When Good Heist Go BadQuick note before we start: As soon as you enter the game you will be in a gun fight just mind you that the fine-aim and the melee bash buttons have been switched. YOU ARE WELCOME!
Mission 1/Tutorial: When Good Heist Go BadAfter that lovely starting cut scene of Pierce adverting Saints Flow, and then your (what seems like an ordinary heist) takes a turn for the worst get ready to shoot them bank tellers up. Once they are all good and dealt with jump or walk around the the desk and wait for Birk’s “attempt” to kick open the door, fail, and have Jony kick it down instead, shoot down the security guards in-front of you and the ones on the stairs. Head up the stairs and start heading toward the hostiles with guns and put ‘em down. Head up the stairs on the right at the opposite end of the floor. Shandi get pounced by security, don’t worry shes got it (you can’t interfere anyway -.-), and head toward the Vault door. After you find out that banging on a metal vault door with your fist isn’t the best way to open it (idiot -.-) and proceeding to plan B, turn around and shoot out the hostiles in the main room (the room you started in) you are in the perfect position to shoot them out from the windows. Head up the stairs and give the adoring fan and autograph (watch Birk FAIL at getting attention too). Head over to the planting spot to start the next cut scene. After the cut scene of you blowing up the floor giving you access to the top of the vault, and Brik hitting the alarm button (once again, idiot -.-), defend your self from swat teams that will either be roping in from windows, running across a platform near the ceiling, or enter from a door on the right of you (You can pick up a riot shield if you kill a swat guy using one, you will have to use either a SMG or a pistol. Riot shields are good for holding positions). Sooner or later a attack heli will appear, all you have to do is shoot at it and your heli will arrive. Once the helicopter arrives, you will be shown you hooking the vault to the copter. After that scene be ready to defend your self from swat guys on the roof (watch out for snipers from helicopters). Heli’s that drop off more troops on the roof are very fragile they can easily be used to blow up a lot of swat guys. Through out holding out the attack heli will appear once and awhile, when it does direct your fire to it, the sooner you shoot it down the better. When you do shoot it down, you will get a cut scene of the attack copter going kamikaze and knock your bird right out of the air. Once this cut scene is over your arrested and the level is over.
After this level you will be able to customize your character, everything from tan lines to your…eh….privates (enjoy fellas ;P).

Mission 2: I’m Free – Free FallingAfter you have completely created your character to your liking, start the game and let the real fun begin. After your cut scene, of being bailed out of jail by the Syndicate, having your conference with the Morning Star that ends without goodbyes, beat up the two guards in front of you (listen to the humor from Gat while doing this its aight =/). Continue into the next room, and quickly beat up the guard with the .44 Shepard (you will be automatically given the gun). Open the next door that leads to the cargo area (I suggest using the guard on your left as a human shield to advance a little bit). Shoot your way through the maze of junk and eventually to the cargo door. Here you will be given a cut scene that ends Gat (He dies, if you don’t understand), and of you being thrown out of the plane.
Now you must catch up to Shaundi who (some how) fell much faster than you. As you are speeding to Shandi’s rescue you will be ambushed by some Morning Star thugs chasing (falling) after you. After you have dealt with the oncoming divers, you will flip around and start diving toward Shaundi. Shoot the falling cars to move the falling crates. Once you catch Shandi you will get a split second break then you will drop Shaundi, as soon as you can shoot the windshield of the plan (the yellow part). You will then get a cut scene of you going through the plan and eventually out the other end. Now go catch up to Shaundi again. You will be again attacked by falling Morning Star members, but there will be more of them. Just clear them out as well and head off in another face first dive to save Shaundi. Once you have caught Shaundi for the second time this level is over and you will safely float to the ground.

Mission 3: We’re Going to Need GunsThis mission starts right after you have completed Free falling.
After shaking off you hand from punching the ATM, run down the ally and jack the car at the end of it. You will now have to open your phone and GPS locate Friendly-Fire on your map. Now drive to friendly-fire (If you take long enough you can hear some personal stuff that happened to Shaundi or stuff shes done here in Steelport). Once you are at friendly-fire go inside and purchase something. You are free to purchase anything you like, I recommend upgrading the .44 Shepherd to level 2 it will help a lot, or you can simply purchase extra ammo. A little side note for you: you can easily acquire a weapon for each spot with out buying one it will just take some time, a little money saving tip . Back on topic: after you are done in friendly-fire get back in the car and drive to the marked guard armory. As soon as you cross over the bridge and enter the restricted area you will be attack, so be prepared. Drive toward the closed gate, and open it and clear the area of all the guards (note that these guys have bullet proofing on, AIM FOR THE HEAD!). Once the front area is cleared move into the warehouse and clear it, notice the giant bomb in front it will play a large part later on. When the area is cleared go over to the lower far right corner there will be smg’s on the ground and a table with funny looking laptops on it (Shaundi will tell you what they are). Once here defend you self until Pierce arrives.
Once Pierce arrives, you will have to protect a helicopter because you are too stubborn to leave with out the giant bomb ( I see nothing wrong in that =3) .Walk over to the table and pick a UAV drone control. Yep that’s right! you get to rain hell with a god dame predator! All you must do is either using dumb missiles or guided missiles to keep the helicopters Pierce arrived in safe, while they are hooking up the bomb for transport. Once the bomb is all set run outside and get in the helicopter. Now all you have to do is defend the bomb copter from oncoming attack choppers, while you fly to Shaundi’s exes loft. Once you reach the loft you have completed the mission.
After the third mission you will not be able to chose your missions freely. Missions are accessible through your phone, along with upgrades, cheats, hit man, and chop shops. Also note that respect is NOT required to play the next mission, but is still good to get so that you may purchase higher level upgrades.

Mission 4: Steelport Here I AmWhen you have activated this mission grab a car and drive to the park to meet Pierce to continue. Once you have met with Pierce take any car to rim jobs (that will be marked for you) and upgrade (Do not now if this is mandatory) . Either way don’t spend a lot of money on the car, I suggest just buying nos. A new feature is that when you upgrade a car it will be your garage automatically with all its upgrades. When you are happy with your car start driving to Plant Saints that will be marked for you (I personally loved this part of the game, to hear Pierce and the protagonist sing made me so happy). When you arrive at Plant Saints enter it and deck yourself with new clothes. Be sure to get the clothes you want the first time you enter the interface. Once you are done here exit store, but you will see that you got some company outside. All you will see is this giant dude charging at you. These are Brutes they can slug your shots for a while but they are not indestructible. Shoot them enough and they will kneel down run over and hit the action button to take them down. After the brute is dead wipe out the Morning Star or you can just jump in a car and speed off you chose. From this point all you have to drive back to Shaundi’s loft and enter it to end the mission.

Mission 5: Party TimeIf you recognize this place, this is the penthouse that is featured in a CGI trailer for this game.
Once starting this mission grab a car and drive off to the airport. This must be done to unlock the elevator so that you can proceed in this mission. Here you will activate a cut scene of you scouting out the pent house. After the cut scene jump and parachute onto the loft, I suggest aiming for the helipad on the far side of the loft from where you are jumping (Yes, Kanye West’s Power song is played during this mission). Once you have landed in the pent house, you will have to grab a Morning Star lieutenant to figure out the elevator pass code to left your homies up. Once you got the code you can either kill the lieutenant or use him as a human shield and kill off some of the Morning Star. When the lieutenant is finally dropped move through the first floor of the pent house down some stairs that lead to the elevator, there will be Morning Star crawling in this place watch your back. Once you have cleared the Morning Star out of the elevator area go over and activate the elevator, now defend it until every one is up.
Once the elevator is up head back up the stairs and clear out any remaining Morning Star they will be up stairs, and out on the helipad as well. Once the penthouse is cleared, you will be notified that there is a bomb inside, and that the only guy who MIGHT now how to defuse it is running. Go out side and snag the helicopter and chase after the fleeing lieutenant. Follow the fleeing lieutenant to an factor like building, where he will land. Exit the helicopter and chase after him as he flees inside where there will be more Thugs to guard him. Get inside and kill any resistance, but the lieutenant you must grab him as a human shield to figure out how to defuse the bomb at the penthouse. Kill the lieutenant to finish this mission.
After the mission Party Time, you will start to learn more about the new features added to the game. By features I mean new ways to take you’re city. This includes activities that are missions.

Mission 6: Guardian AngelGuardian Angel is actually a activity, but you must do this in order to continue in the story plot.
Pierce found Safety Deposit Keys as he was snooping around the penthouse and needs you to protect him when he goes to put them to use. This activity has you use a RPG, and a Sniper to protect the homie. There are two stages of this activity: One is when you are following the homie’s vehicle and you are using the RPG to destroy hostile gang vehicles, try to compensate when shooting, unless the RPG is level 4 it will not lock on to vehicles, so aim carefully. The second part of the activity is when you set up on the side of a building and use the sniper to take out gang members as your homie is running for a place to hide.
This activity has about two instances, both are missions, and the order in which the stages are switched.

Mission 7: TraffickingThis is also an activity that must be done as a mission, and is also mandatory to continue the main plot.
This time you will have to protect Pierce as he tries to sell Saints merchandise to people, the Morning Star don’t like that. You will be given a fixed amount of ammunition for your weapons (grenades are not fixed). All you have to do is kill the Morning Star, and protect Pierce. Random things might happen, such as the buyer will run without paying. Brutes are in this activity, along with helicopter snipers.
After completing this activity you will unlock two more instances after completing this one. Completing the other two is not necessary to continue the plot.

Mission 8: Takeover the CityIn this mission Pierce will show you ways to takeover the numerous districts in Steelport.
First Pierce will tell you to meet him at a Friendly-fire. Once you have arrived at the friendly-fire Pierce will show up and tell you to buy the store (This will only cost $100, if you purchase any other store it will cost about $500). After you purchase the store grab a car and drive toward the next way to take over. You will find a crate of Sex dolls, that is your objective (Picking you these dolls will give you some cash, and take over percentage) these are known as Collectibles. There are tons of collectibles in Steelport, not just sex dolls, but cash pallets, and drug pallets as well. When you got the dolls, follow your GPS to a property to buy. You will find your self at some estates (once again these cost only $100, later on they cost about $500 as well). These show no other purpose than to take over the city. Now to the fun part, you will now have to find and destroy two gang operations (they will be marked on your GP for you). I suggest using the UAV Drone to clear the area, it is quick and easy. Be careful when wiping out the operation, you need to stay within the red area that will be marked on your mini-map when you engage the operation, leaving this area will get rid of the marked targets and the gang operation will have escaped, you will get a second chance to take out the operation, all you have to is come back later. Once you have destroyed the first one you will instantly gain notoriety, but you still have destroy the second one. Quickly go and destroy the second gang operation. Once the second operation is gone, quickly return to the friendly-fire you bought. Entering owned properties that you can enter, will erase all notoriety. The estates, and any other real estate proprieties will not do this. Real estate proprieties are marked with red on the mini-map.
Even though all the pain you have caused the Morning Star it just still isn’t enough. Your going to have to do more.

Mission 9: Tank MayhemOK just from the sound of this activity makes me excited. If you liked Mayhem from SR2 then you’ll love this. Its basically the same thing but only your in a tank, WHAT’S MORE KICK ASS THAN THAT! The major differences is that there are not many fences, and that you have marked targets that will give you a lot more money. Just drive forward and destroy every person, car, or helicopter you can see, or everything in sight. Your tank isn’t indestructible, if you take too much damage you could die. To avoid this there are blue floating wrenches that you can pick up to repair your tank. To me this is a simple and probably the easiest activity there is.
You will unlock two more instances after completing this one, they are not mandatory to complete the main plot.

Mission 10: Professor GenkiWhen I first played this I enjoyed it so much I couldn’t stand it. Professor Genki’s Super Ethical Reality Climax is a TV game show that you participate in to earn cash and respect. All you have to do is earn enough money before time runs, out and get to the exit. The exit will not open until you have the cash. To earn cash shoot anything in a costume, any brutes you see, any ethical, time bonus, or cash bonus target you see. Weapons can be salvaged from dead enemies. Avoid and electrical or fire wall in the area. Also don’t shoot any unethical targets. Health is not self replenishing, shoot the health targets to heal.
After completing this instance you will unlock two more, in the higher level ones you have a chance of a “present” appearing on the ground, picking up the present will give you new weapons.

Mission 11: We’ve Only Just BegunThis is not so much a mission. All you have to do is go to a bar called the Broken Shillelagh. Once you arrive there you will get a cut scene of whats next. Mission over. So hard huh?
Mission 12: Hit the Powder RoomOnce this mission is started grab a car and drive to a designer gun store called “Powder”. Once there you will get a cut scene, of how you are getting inside. After the cut scene head around to the back, there will be Morning Star guarding the outside (There is the possibly of a Ak-47 be in your weapon inventory now). Fight your way to the back door and get inside. Once inside you will be confronted with more Morning Star and Snipers. Use the boxes for temporary cover (I say temporary because, these boxes can be destroyed) and clear the area before advancing. You will know when snipers are about to shoot you when you have a red lazer pointing at you, this is when you should duck and cover. Once you are ready proceed forward and to the right into a room (Doors could be closed). Entering the room there will be Morning Star on your left watch out. Once your good move down the room, and through some doors on the left. Once exiting the room you will be confronted with a brute that has a mini gun! The best way to kill him is to wait for his mini gun to overheat or something. I don’t know what happens to the mini gun, but when this does happen the brute will kneel down and start hitting it. This gives you a small window to get some damage on him. The only place where he is open is his head, aim for it. Once the brute is dead you can pick up his mini gun and turn the tides of the gun fight. Note that you move very slow with it. Proceed up some stairs that more Morning Star will come down, that will lead to the Cat walks. Proceed along the cat walks to the opposite side where the managers office is. There will be Morning Star all over the cat walks proceed with caution. Once you reach the office, all you must do now is defend the office as Shaundi hacks into a near by computer (deja vu huh?). Once the hacking is done the mission is over.

This includes the ending of Act 1
Mission 13: The Belgian ProblemAfter activating this mission drive to the saints penthouse, to start a cut scene of you gearing up to take out Phillipe.
After the cut scene, get in a car and drive off to the SYN tower. Once you reach it, drive around back to the loading docks and clear the area of the all the Morning Star guarding the loading docks. Eventually more Guards and a Brute will show up, take them out too. Once the docks are clear more Saints will drive in with the bomb. Once the bomb is in walk over to it and arm it. Now you have to hurry and kill Phillipe, you will now be timed. Run over to the elevator and enter it. Eventually it will be stopped by Phillipe and you will have to fight your way through a research lab to get to him. In this lab they create the brutes through cloning them. Fight your way through the lab and eventually a Brute with an incinerator and more Morning Star will show up. The best way to kill the brute is to blow up the propane tanks on his back. I suggest fighting him on the lower level so that you don’t have to worry about any morning star thugs shooting you if you catch on fire. When the area is clear continue from where the morning star spawned from and continue down the walk way, more morning star will spawn at the end. Once you want to go around the corner the morning star came around to start a cut scene, of you meeting Oleg the person who the morning star clone there brutes off of. This cut scene will show you freeing Oleg. After the cut scene just follow Oleg to Phillipes office. He runs very slow up stairs. Sooner or later a cut scene will start of Phillipe going down an express elevator and you improvising one. After the cut scene all you have to do is protect yourself from the Morning Star as you hang and wait for the ball to start falling. Sooner or later the ball will start falling and get stuck in a hole, but a brute will jump on making it continue its fall. Just keep shooting the brute eventually he will fall off. Once the brute falls you will get a cut scene of Phillipe’s end. After the cut scene you will have to chose to either destroy the SYN building, or Keep it. Destroying the building will give a permanent 10% respect bonus on all activities. Keeping the building will give you a permanent 10% cash bonus on all activities. Honestly, KEEP THE BUILDING, things will be a lot better with the money bonus. Trust me it is easier with the money bonus, I did two play troughs choosing a different option for each one the cash bonus one did much better than the respect bonus one.
Both options have different ending cut scenes. One is you driving a way and the building being destroyed in the back ground. The other is the giant ball causing terror in the streets, and you thinking of changing the color of the SYN tower.

Congratulations Act 1 Completed!!
Mission 14: Return to SteelportThis is the first mission of Act 2.
This mission will start right after the cut scene of you’re gang going to mourn Gat’s death only to be ambushed by the luchadores and Killbane, another gang of the syndicate.
This mission resembles the “Three Kings” mission from SR2, you will have to go save three people for their services against a gang.
You will first have to save Kenzie, an ex FBI person. She is being held captive on a barge, with the deckers, the other syndicate gang, guarding her.
Once you spawn in there will be a boat ahead of you, jump in it and start heading to the barge (marked on map). The only way onto this barge is through the back where there is no wall, but there is a ramp of some short, that could launch you into the barge, could save you some time, or you could simply get close to it stop, get out of the boat, either spawn on the barge, or in the water then you just swim onto the barge, and run all the way through the barge. You can climb onto the shipping crate by jumping at a sweet spot and you will pull your self up, you can use this to your advantage and get higher than the deckers. Any way fight your way to Kenzie, who is being held on the second floor of the barge, in a small room (marked on map). Once you find her untie her to start the next part of this mission.
Now you will have to save Zimos, a pimp who was captured by the morning star so that his hoing business was gone. He is being held at an BDSM club.
Once Kenzie has filled you in on your next objective, grab the car in the parking lot, just run up the stairs at the other end of the dock, and drive off to the BDSM club (marked on map). Once you arrive at the club, go inside and go shake down one of the perverted patrons they look like business men (marked on map). Once that is done, head up stairs and shake down another patron, this one looks like a gimp (marked on map). Once he is shaken down go find the manager (marked on map). Once he is dealt with a door will open on the right and morning star will come out guns blazing. Take them out and go through the door and start going through the underground looking for Zimos (marked on map), on another note GET ME SOME HAND SANITIZER! Back on topic: follow the route through the underground tunnels, while fighting off the morning star. Eventually you will find Zimos in all his…well…never mind. Anyway when you find him there will be a cut scene, of the morning start coming at you and you grabbing a improvised get away vehicle (I laughed soo hard the first time I played this part XD). Anyway just turn around and shoot at the morning star chasing you, a little werid note for ya: the gimps explode if you shoot them enough, wtf did they do to them for that to happen D:? Eventually you will lose the morning star and you will get a cut scene leading to the next part of this mission.
For the third and finale part of this mission you must find, save, and protect Angel De La Muerte. Killbanes ex-wrestling partner. He is being attacked at his gym.
After the cut scene with Zimos, take the car you spawn next to Angel’s gym (marked on map). Once you get their you will have to kill all the luchadores out side the gym, there will be a brute along with a bunch of luchadores. Oleg will eventually show up either after or in the middle of the fight, Angle can be seen outside his gym fighting the luchadores but he’s suppose to be inside practicing. Any way kill all the luchadores and head inside the gym. You will be shown a cut scene of you meeting Angel and more luchadores showing up. Now all you have to do is defend your self. I count by three waves. First there will be a brute entering from where you did, with some lucahdores, Oleg will handle the brute so you can focus on the luchadores. When that brute is dead another one will spawn in up above with a mini gun. He will jump down after the mini gun overheats once. Note: Angle can die a lot at this point, considering he stands in the wide open and “tries” to slug the mini gun bursts, just keep on your toes. Once that brute is dead, two more brutes will spawn only they are armed with incinerators. Once thous two brutes are dead the mission is complete.
After this mission is complete you will get a cut scene that ends with the famous quote: “Let’s get this shit started”
You will get three cribs, the penetrator melee weapon, gimps in your gang, and Angel, Kenzie, and Zimos as homies.
