Introduction and Things to Remember
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is absolutely loaded with content, so expect to put at least 100 hours into the game before expecting to earn 1000/1000 or that Platinum Trophy.
As with any expansive RPG, it is VERY wise to make multiple save slots during your Skyrim adventure. As long as you follow this guide, you shouldn’t miss any achievements, but be sure to make multiple save slots just in case!
Also, if you need help with one of the quests in the game, you will need to refer to the guides specifically for that quest. I will provide links towards the bottom of this guide to help you find those pages easier!
Happy hunting!

1. Adept (10G/Bronze)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Reach Level 10
Strategy: Just play the game and you will eventually reach level 10. It doesn’t
take that long at all and can be accomplished just by playing through about
half of a questline.
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
2. Alduin’s Wall (20G/Bronze)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Complete “Alduin’s Wall”
Strategy: In the main quest, there is a quest called Alduin’s Wall. Simply
complete that quest to earn this achievement. You will need to refer to the
primary FAQ/Walkthrough for more information on this quest.
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
3. Apprentice (5G/Bronze)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Reach Level 5.
Strategy: Just play the game until you reach this level.

4. Artificer (10G/Bronze)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Make a smited item, an enchanted item, and a potion
Strategy: Finally an achievement that can actually be a bit more fleshed out in
this guide! In order to get this achievement, you need to make three different
objects, and this all involves alchemy. However, you don’t need any real
alchemy skills in order to get this achievement.
To make a smithed item, first make sure you’ve acquired the right supplies. You
will usually need steel and various other nick-nacks in order to accomplish
this. You’ll probably have the correct items just by exploring, collecting, and
playing through the game. Regardless, once you have what you need, go to an
anvil that is located in virtually every town in the game, even the smaller
ones. Then create a sword or piece of armor or whatever at this anvil to knock
off the first part of this achievement.
Now it’s time to make an enchanted item. Hell, you could use the new piece of
equipment that you just made! To make an enchanted item, first you will need to
disenchant an item that already is enchanted. You will find a ton of enchanted
items in the game. Once you have one, you need to go to an Enchanter table.
These can be found in random dungeons, but they’re also plentiful at the
College of Winterhold. Once you have disenchanted one item, assuming you have
the proper amount of soul gems (items that are also very plentiful in the land
of Skyrim; a little delving is all you’ll need to have more than plenty), you
will be able to place that enchantment on a different item.
With that step accomplished, it’s time to make a potion! This is actually quite
easy. You’ll need various food items that would otherwise be worthless, and you
will need a potion recipe. Chances are you’ll have picked up potion recipes
during your travels, or you can just experiment until you get a potion. Once
the potion is made, this achievement will unlock!

5. Bleak Falls Barrow (10G/Bronze)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Complete “Bleak Falls Barrow”
Strategy: Refer to the FAQ/Walkthrough guide for the main quest of Skyrim for
more information regarding this quest.
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
6. Blessed (10G/Bronze)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Select a Standing Stone blessing
Strategy: Standing Stones are large stone artifacts that are dotted throughout
Skyrim. Inevitably you will come across one during your travels. Hell, there
are three located near the very start of the game. Once you find a Standing
Stone, which looks like a large stone with a hole at the top, press A to
receive its blessing.
Keep in mind that you can only have one Standing Stone blessing on you at a
time.

7. Blood Oath (10G/Bronze)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Become a member of the Circle
Strategy: This is quest-related to the Companions guild. Please refer to the
Guild Quests Guide for more information. There is a link at the bottom of this
guide that will lead you there.

8. Bound Until Death (10G/Bronze)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Complete “Bound Until Death”
Strategy: Once again, refer to the Main Quest FAQ/Walkthrough for more info.

9. Citizen (10G/Bronze)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Buy a house
Strategy: This achievement is easy, but it does require 5,000 gold, which is
sometimes hard to come by. The earliest you can get this achievement is by
becoming a Thane in Whiterun after the very early quests in the main quest are
completed there.
Speak to the dude that operates the real estate in Whiterun. He can often be
found hanging out next to the Tharl. One of your conversation options will be
to pay 5,000 gold for a house. Pay the fee and you will have a new home to call
your own.
Keep in mind that you can buy a house in almost every single town in the game.
You just need to help out the citizens there by completing Misc. Quests (little
objectives that are randomly generated), become Thane, and speak to those in
charge to get the option to buy a home.

10. Daedric Influence (10G/Bronze)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Acquire a Daedric Artifact
Strategy: This achievement is done by completing one of the 15 Daedric Quests.
Luckily for you, there is also a guide for the Daedric Quests here, and the
link for that guide can be found in the “Links” section of this guide. Be
careful completing these, as there are some Daedric quests that can be
completed in ways that will result in you not receiving an Artifact. Because of
this, I HIGHLY recommend you make a save BEFORE every major decision you have
to make in the game in terms of Daedric Quests.
Daedric Quests will open up naturally for you as you explore and visit towns at
certain levels. Once you stumble upon them, completing them is the next step,
and then you will have a spiffy new Daedric Artifact to call your own!

12. Delver (40G/Silver)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Clear 50 dungeons
Strategy: Dungeons are often represented by cave symbols on your map. Of
course, you will be exploring plenty of dungeons during your adventures just by
going through quests. However, you will have to go out of your way to complete
even more dungeons that you just find in the countryside in order to snag this
achievement.
A dungeon is “complete” once you have gone through it, killed whatever big bad
is at the end (if there is one) and then find the door or passage that leads
you right back to the beginning, and then exit the dungeon. You can check to
see if the game has marked a particular dungeon as being completed for you by
checking it on your map.

14. Dragon Hunter (20G/Bronze)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Absorb 20 dragon souls
Strategy: Dragons won’t appear in the game until after a certain point in the
Main Quest. I recommend completing enough of the main quest until you
*SPOILER*
discover that Alduin is resurrecting dragons throughout Skyrim
*END SPOILER*
At that point, you will find dragons randomly spawning throughout the land. Of
course, some dragons will spawn at very specific locations and even have names,
as opposed to dragons that are simply called “Frost Dragon” or the like. There
are an infinite number of dragons that will spawn in the game, so don’t worry
about not having enough to slay.
Once you kill a dragon, stick around next to their dead body and you will
absorb their soul. Dragon souls are used as currency for the upgrade system.
You will use these souls to purchase new Shouts for your character to utilize
in combat.

Strategy: Kill your first dragon. This will be done while playing through the

Description: Join the College of Winterhold
Strategy: To join the College, just visit Winterhold and then go to the
college. You will be stopped before you can get into the college, and then you
will have to show off magic tricks. For more information regarding this quest,

24. Hard Worker (10G/Bronze)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Chop wood, mine ore, and cook food
Strategy: Similar to the earlier achievement regarding alchemy, this is a
three-prong achievement. You will need to chop wood, mine ore, and cook some
delicious noms in order to snag this pretty little achievement.
First of all, let’s chop wood. To chop wood, you will need an woodcutter’s axe.
These can usually be found near large stacks of wood in the towns, or just
lying around the place randomly. Once you have a woodcutter’s axe, go to a wood
stump, also found near large piles of wood. Begin chopping wood! You can sell
chopped wood for profit.
To mine ore, you will need a pickaxe. These can be found near or in mines. Once
you have a pickaxe, you will have to find a “vein” to mine minerals from. These
veins are located on the sides of mountains and there are a ton of them. It is
difficult to tell you an exact location of a vein because they are hidden deep
in the wilderness most of the time without a real marker to describe to you so
I can lead you to their location. Do a bit of exploring, mine that vein, and
then it’s on to the third step!
Luckily, this third and final step is the easiest to complete! All you need to
do is cook food. You will need food ingredients in order to accomplish this.
Once you have the correct ingredients to create a food item, go to a cooking
pan that is located over a fireplace in many houses or outside over camp fires.
Cook up some food and this achievement/trophy will unlock!

Description: Capture Solitude or Windhelm
Strategy: Go through the Civil War questline to unlock this achievement. It
doesn’t matter what side you choose in the conflict. This achievement will
unlock upon the conclusion of this questline.
If you need help, there is also a Civil War Guide that we wrote just for you!
Be sure to check it out. You know where to find it…in the “Links” section of

- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Complete 50 Misc Objectives
Strategy: Misc. Objectives are mini-quests that you will find a ton of during
your adventures. They are oftentimes randomly generated. While many of them can
be completed in a mere manner of a few minutes, some of them are created just
to help you find a Side Quest or a Guild.
Regardless, you just need to complete 50 of them. That’s a lot easier than you
might think.

27. Married (10G/Bronze)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Get married
Strategy: First of all, you’ll need to own a house. There’s actually an
achievement related to owning a house called “Citizen”. Scroll up to that one
or use the Table of Contents to help you out there.
Travel to Riften and visit the Temple of Mara. Inside, speak to the priest
Maramal. Purchase the Amulet of Mara from him after listening to his scpheel
about how marriage works in the wonderful world of Skyrim.
Equip the amulet. Then go speak to various ladies. Just by wearing the amulet,
many of them will agree to marry you. However, some of them will require you to
fulfill certain things first, like completing a Misc. Objective for them or
something.
Once they agree to marry you, head back to the Temple of Mara and speak with
the priest. After the ceremony is complete and you are wed, choose the house
you and your spouse should live in and wa-lah! Success!

28. Master (50G/Silver)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Reach Level 50
Strategy: Level 50 is considered the “cap” for Skyrim, though there isn’t
really a level cap in the game. Once you reach this level, you will feel pretty
damn accomplished in the game, and you will have spent a ton of skill points
along the way. Just like the other achievements about leveling, simply pushing
through the game will land you this achievement. However, this one will take a
considerable amount of time dedication.

29. Master Criminal (20G/Bronze)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Bounty of 1000 gold in all nine holds
Strategy: This achievement can be quite the pain in the ass (or “arse” for you
European readers out there). Just pick one of the holds, wreak havoc until your
bounty reaches 1000 gold (which can be done easily by killing a guard), and
then flee! Run from the guards and out into the wilderness until they are no
longer following you.
Once the coast is clear, use your map to fast-travel to a different hold. Keep
repeating the process until you are wanted in each of the nine holds of the
game with a 1000 gold bounty hanging over your head. This is a time-consuming
task for sure, and if you are playing on higher difficulties, be prepared for
massive headaches.

30. Oblivion Walker (30G/Silver)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Collect 15 Daedric Artifacts
Strategy: This achievement has screwed over a lot of folks. DON’T LET IT HAPPEN
TO YOU! You see, during Daedric Quests, there is pretty much a decision to be
made at the end of each one without fail. This decision will either lead you to
getting a Daedric Artifact, or receiving nothing, or receiving a useless item.
It’s pretty obvious most of the time which decision will lead you to obtaining
the Artifact and which decision will lead to nothingness. To be sure, check
out my guide for Daedric Quests! Go to the “Links” section of this guide.
Regardless, there is one quest in particular that you need to watch out for
while going for this achievement. This quest is called “A Daedra’s Best
Friend” and it likes to trick people into being royally ****ed out of this
achievement!
!!!SPOILERS!!!
At the end of the quest “A Daedra’s Best Friend” you will be asked to make a
choice. You can either kill the dog that has helped you out thus far and get
the Rueful Axe, or you can let the dog live and receive a mask. LET THE DOG
LIVE. If you get the axe, for some reason this weapon doesn’t count towards the
achievement, and you will have to either load an older save, or god forbid
start all over!

35. Skill Master (40G/silver)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Get a skill to 100
Strategy: Skills represent everything you do in Skyrim. Every action you can
take is related to a skill. Performing this action many times will result in
the skill gaining more points, which in turn will allow you to spend Skill
Points when you level to earn new abilities related to that particular skill.
To get this achievement, you need to level a skill up to 100, which opens up
pretty much its entire tree. You do this just by completing the action over and
over again (i.e., for the One-Handed skill, you just need to hit enemies with
one-handed weapons many times for it to level) or by paying gold to NPCs that
can train you in skills.

36. Snake Tongue (10G/Bronze)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Successfully persuade, bribe, and intimidate
Strategy: Another achievement that requires you to complete three tasks! To
persuade someone, you need to choose that option during a conversation. If you
level up your Speechcraft, you will be able to have a better chance of
persuading people into doing what you want.
Also during speech, you will sometimes be given the option to bribe people with
gold. Take this option to fulfill the second requirement of this achievement.
And finally, to intimidate people is the same as to persuade them, just a
little meaner. Both “persuade” and “intimidate” will be located in parantheses
after a conversation option to indicate whether that will be an attempt at
persuasion or intimidation.

Strategy: Remember those Standing Stones? Well, there’s 13 of them in the game!
Here’s a check-list to help you keep track of the ones you’ve already
discovered. Also, remember that you need to take the blessing from the stone
for the game to register the stone as “found”.
The Apprentice Stone – Near Morthal
The Atronach Stone – Near Bonestrewn Crest
The Lady Stone – Near Falkreath
The Lord Stone – Near Dawnstar
The Lover Stone – Near Markarth
The Mage Stone – Near Riverwood
The Ritual Stone – Near Whiterun
The Serpent Stone – Near Winterhold
The Shadow Stone – Near Riften
The Steed Stone – Near Solitude
The Thief Stone – Near Riverwood
The Tower Stone – Near Winterhold
The Warrior Stone – Near Riverwood
Since it’s difficult to lead you directly to the stones using words, here is a
very helpful YouTube video I found, made by the folks at RoosterTeeth:

Description: Pick 50 locks and 50 pockets
Strategy: Lockpicking is a skill that you should always focus on at least a
little bit in these games. It definitely comes in handy when you take into
consideration the sheer amount of locked chests and doors you will come across
while playing through this game.
Upon 50 picking locks, which will likely happen just by naturally playing the
game, it’s time to pick 50 pockets. To pick pocket someone, crouch, then sneak
up behind them. Press A, and then loot their pockets! Keep doing this in
each town until you’ve either been caught or you’ve picked all the pockets
there is to pick, and then move on to the next town and continue your crime
spree.

45. Thu’um Master (40G/Silver)
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Description: Learn 20 shouts
Strategy: Shouts are the abilities you are given as a Dragonborn. They are
extremely powerful, and are unlocked by spending the souls of dragons. However,
you have to find the words for a shout before you can have the right to unlock
it. Here is a list of all the shouts in the game:
Animal Allegiance
Aura Whisper
Become Ethereal
Call Dragon
Call of Valor
Clear Skies
Disarm
Dismay
Dragonrend
Elemental Fury
Fire Breath
Frost Breath
Ice Form
Kyne’s Peace
Marked for Death
Slow Time
Storm Call
Throw Voice
Unrelenting Force
Whirlwind Sprint
To find the locations of these Words of Power, you can speak to Arngeir at
High Hrothgar. He will often mark the location of a shout on your map. In other
cases, a courier will run up to you and hand you a letter that will also point
you to the location of a shout. To get this achievement, you don’t have to know
every word for each shout, just the first word.

Description: Escape from jail
Strategy: Commit a crime and then the guards in one of the holds will stop you.
You will then have choices that include bribing the guards, paying your bounty,
or going to jail. Obviously for this achievement, you will need to choose the
third option.
In jail, you will have one lockpick on you, but all of your other items will be
gone. Pick the lock of your jail cell, then either kill the guard that is
watching you or sneak by him. Be sure to check the area for a chest that will
contain all of your items that you had before you went to jail. Once you leave
the prison, this achievement will unlock.
