Uprising adds four new multiplayer maps to the Black Ops II multiplayer experience. The four maps are as follows:
1. Encore
2. Magma
3. Studio
4. Vertigo
——————-
2. Mob of the Dead
——————-
The main purpose of this Mob of the Dead section of the guide is to go over how to complete the Easter Egg on the map. There are a couple of differences between playing this map solo and in co-op. In solo, you are able to carry all the items needed to build the plane simultaneously, but in co-op, only one player can carry a plane item at a time.
The first step will be to get as much points as possible in the first room and then get the key. The second step is to collect the parts, and the third step is to assemble the plane on the roof of the prison.
1. Getting the key
In the starting room, before possessing your human body, you will want to open the cell door guarding the x2 power-up. There will be a “ghost door” portal in this room. Go through and you’ll find the device that you need to shoot with electricity to open the cell door.
Now stay in this first room until round two. When the zombies start coming in round two, grab the x2 power-up. Save bullets for this, so that you can get a lot of points. Make a crawler and then exit the room.
In the next area, you will be in the cell block, no matter what direction you take, though I recommend going through the door that is farthest away from the library. You’ll see a key hanging down with an electric current going through it. Turn into a ghost by killing yourself using a fusebox in the area or by letting the crawler kill you.
Make your way to the key and you’ll find a device to blast to lower the key. While you’re in this area, it’s also wise to blast the device that powers the cell door for a power-up that you can use later. Anyway, make a mad dash through the portal/ghost door in the center of the area, across from the candles (have someone ready to resurrect your body), and follow the areas through this hall to reach the next device you need to blast, which will open the door to the showers.
Revive yourself or get revived. Gather the key, and then go down into the showers.
2. Uniforms
Open the gate down here, and then turn into a ghost. Power the machine, and then return to your body. Turn on the washer, and get ready. A ton of zombies will appear. It’s wise to have a weapon besides just the pistol. You can run a train pretty easily around the center area of the room. Once the coast is clear, grab the uniforms.
3. Rigging
Once you have the uniforms, return to the upper area. Go up the stairs, go through the gate, and then you’ll find the warden’s office. Ignore it for now, and go down the stairs near it. Go through the first door, and then take the first left possible to find another gate that leads further down the tunnel.
Fight through this round until you can make a crawler. Then go to the bottom of the tunnel. Open the door here, and then open the case with the bulbs inside. Go back to the top of the tunnel, and use the box to turn into a ghost. As you walk back down the tunnel, there will be numbers written.
Remember the numbers, and then blast the bulbs from left to right in the proper order until the numbers are right. Then quickly return to your body, run downstairs, go through the door, take a left, and then walk up to the gate to get through to the elevator and find the Rigging.
4. Tanks
Exit this area going the way you didn’t come from to get outside. Farm zombies for points as much as you need to reach the generator room. Go back to the Afterlife and then you will be able to power the generator by following the blue tubes on the ground to three different machines that you can blast with electricity.
With the generator powered up, you might as well make your way to the docks. Open the gate (it will take 2000 points) and then get over to the gate blocking the way to the tanks. This is tricky to pull off. You’ll need to turn to Afterlife, blast the device in the middle, and then grab the tanks.
You’ll notice that the door will slide shut. If you have Afterlife left, have someone else or yourself turn into a ghost and then float over the gate to power the device to open up the gate so that you can exit with the tank safely.
5. Engine
Now return to the cell block that you started out in, and make your way to the Warden’s Office. Use the directions written on the walls with blood to find your way there. Once you reach the Warden’s Office, turn to a ghost and follow the path to power the device to open the door to the Warden’s Office.
You will now be able to open a gate to get the Engine.
6. Control Valve
Finally, go to the final room before the roof. Basically, go the new perk machine, go behind it, and then keep following the path until you reach a bathroom. Go through the bathroom, and you’ll find a box with a part inside of it. Use the key to get to the part, and then go to the Afterlife again.
Return to the bathroom and you’ll find a ghost portal to step through. Follow the arrows to reach the roof. Go to the door to the roof, and power the machine by it to open it. Return to your body, and then you are free to assemble the plane.
Throw the plane together using all the parts, and then hold X at the back of the plane to take flight!
