Players must take up arms and use their skill so that peace will rule the land once more.

Gameplay
Dungeon Hunter 4 is an action game with RPG elements generously thrown in. players must be able to manage their equipment, weapons, and skills in order to clear each stage of enemies and complete their mission. Multiplayer support is also provided so that players can participate in quests with other players online, or they can battle in each other in different competitive modes.

Currency
Dungeon Hunter 4 utilizes two types of currencies, namely gold and gems. Gold is used in purchasing regular items, and they must also be spent when adding or removing charms. Gold can be earned as loot from fallen enemies, by completing quests, and by destroying crates and chests, among others.

Gems, on the other hand, are used to purchase premium items such as higher level weapons or armor, in addition to unlocking certain items early in the game. They can also be used to instantly accomplish tasks that normally require some time to complete. There are few ways to acquire gems within the game, with the best method being purchasing them using real money.

Characters
There are four character classes that players can choose to play as. These are Blademaster, Battleworn, Warmage, and Sentinel. Each class has differing ranges, power, and frequency of attack. However, all have statistics and special attacks that can be equipped and upgraded based on the player’s liking. All character classes have both a male and female version available.

HP
HP stands for Hit Points, and this defines how much damage you can take before dying. HP regenerates over time, but you can speed this up by using Potions. You can carry up to three potions at a time, and this is replenished after a specific period of time. Potions are recommended to be used only during boss battles or if you are really low on health. Otherwise, walk around and fight low level monsters until you have regained enough health. Other skills also allow for faster regeneration.

If the HP gauge has been completely defeated, players will have to restart from the last checkpoint.

Energy
Energy is needed in order to activate a character’s skills. Like HP, energy regenerates over time and its capacity is increased whenever players level up. There are also items and skills that will help speed up regeneration.

Leveling Up
Defeating monsters will earn players XP, which will cause players to level up. Leveling up will increase a player’s bases statistics, as well as unlock special skills and other items. In addition, leveling up will award players with skill points that they can use to further improve upon the skill of their choice.

Skills
There are three types of skills within Dungeon Master 4. These are active skills, passive skills, and spirit skills. Based on the player’s current level, they can only equip a specific number of active and passive skills at a time, and they can also be upgraded using skill points earned when leveling up. Spirit skills and active skills need to be activated during combat while passive skills are permanent buffs for as long as they are equipped. Skills have a variety of effects but are mostly used for offensive purposes, so make sure to read the description thoroughly before equipping them.

Store
The store is where players will be spending most of their time if they want to manage their equipment. Here, they can buy and sell items as well as perform actions that will allow them to have better gear that they can bring into battle. Almost all actions require players to spend a specific amount of coins, while other processes will require some time to complete, although players can use premium currency to complete these actions instantly.

Equipment
Equipment range from weapons, armor, and other items that will help boost both your attack and defense capabilities. Equipment can be bought or acquired during combat from drops, chests, or as rewards. Equipment can be upgraded so that they will have additional skill slots, and their boosts will be enhanced as well. however, upgrading equipment takes both coins as well as time, so make sure that you have an ample amount of both. Excess equipment can be sold off at the store for additional coins, although it is recommended that you keep weapons that can be used in certain situations, such as those with specialized charm slots that you do not have with your other gear.

Charms
Charms provide buffs to players, specifically with regards to health and other base statistics. Charms cannot be used on their own, but should be attached to equipment such as weapons and armor. Adding charms to equipment will take some time as well as coins to complete, but you can speed up the process by spending gems. Equipment also has specifically shaped charm slots, so make sure that you acquire an item that matches the shape of your charm.

In addition, charms can boost their own effects if combined with a charm of similar nature. Like adding or removing charms, combining charms will require players to spend coins, and this will also take a while to complete.

Rings
Rings provide further boosts to your character, such as providing players with additional XP when defeating monsters or being able to collect more coins than usual. Rings are one of the hardest items to come by in the game, and these are usually acquired through the use of gems.

Vanity Armor
Vanity armors are a special type of armor as they really do not do anything aside from make your character look good. These effectively work as skins and should only be purchased by those who are at high enough levels. Vanity armor is purchased at the store using gems.

Crafting
Special weapons can be creating through crafting. In order to craft an item, players must gather a specific number of raw materials, which can be acquired as treasures or as drops from enemies. In addition, raw materials can be transmuted into other items, which is great if you have a high amount of one type of material but do not have a supply of another that is required to create a particular weapon.

Quests
Players will have to go on quests in order to push the story forward. Players will have complete several missions in order to complete a quest. These can be repeated even after they have been cleared, which is a good for players to get additional coins and experience. In addition to this, there are also achievements that could be met which would reward players with bonus rewards.

Quests are accessible via the world map located on top of the screen.

Other Modes
Aside from the main storyline, Dungeon Hunter 4 also has a survival mode where players can try to last for as long as they can against a relentless horde of enemies. The game also has online and local multiplayer support for co-op matches, PvP, and deathmatches, allowing players to play with other gamers both locally or online.
