Evolution: Battle for Utopia is an action packed game wherein strategy will also play a big part, as not only must each shot not be wasted, but resources must be managed in order to ensure you and your team will be able to survive and see another day. Here’s our guide for this amazing game.

Gameplay
Evolution: Battle for Utopia is a tactics and building simulation game where in players must explore and terraform a hostile planet, battling creatures and human opponents alike while gathering resources that will help them improve their character and base. Aside from building, the game also revolves around exploration and third person shooting, as battles must be cleared in order to proceed. Focus is also geared towards researching new technologies and producing them so that they can be used for both combat and enhancing your base for both increased resource production and better defenses and equipment.

Currency
Gems are the game’s premium currency. Gems can be used to purchase resources that you lack, as well as items that would come in packs or cannot be acquired by any other means. Gems may also be used for hints during mini-games, or to revive your character should you fall in battle. Gems are awarded each time players level up, or in the field although it is rarely provided. The best way to get gems is via in-app purchases, which would also provide you with VIP status which would also provide you benefits during regular gameplay.

Resources
Aside from gems, resources are what makes the world of Utopia go around. Item such as fuel, magmamite, steel, data disks, and various others are required for tasks like building and upgrading structures, research, training, and production. Some also serve as currencies for when playing hacking games or when buying premium items, so it is important to have a good sized amount of each in order to expedite most of the things that you want to do within the game.

Resources can be acquired in a variety of ways. Some resources can be mined off the planet, while others can be won as rewards or found in areas that you would want to explore. Additional resources may also be purchased using premium currency.

Leveling Up
By performing tasks and engaging in combat, players will earn experience points that will eventually cause them to level up. Not only will leveling up provide you with gems and other items, but it also completely recover your health. In addition, structures such as Magmamite and Iron mines can only be upgraded once you reach a certain level, and this will allow players to both produce resources faster and store more before they become full.

Equipment
Players are able to acquire different types of equipment that can help them along in their tasks. Equipment would include weapons, armor, and consumables that will help upgrade your character. Items can be produced at the arsenal, provided that they have already research these equipment already. Production will require both time and resources, although players can choose to speed things up using gems. Different items may also be picked up as rewards or can be found during missions as loot or in chests and crates, and may even be purchased outright.

When it comes to equipment, make sure to prioritize consumables such as health packs and grenades, followed by weapons and ammo. The latter is important as pistols would have infinite ammo while ammo for assault and other primary weapons would have to be either manufactured or picked up. Some weapons also behave differently as compared to others, especially when it comes to dealing damage against different types of enemies.

Make sure to research on the different equipment once they become available as you’ll never know which type of equipment you’ll need and which ones would greatly improve your character’s load out.

Building
Several types of buildings can be constructed within bases that you have already cleared and terraformed. These include resource generators as well as the research center where in you can develop new technologies. Take note that research cost will be minimized once certain criteria have been met. Also, research would only be available once this has been unlocked during quests.

On the other hand, the arsenal is where players can get to create new weapons and equipment that they may take during missions. The more you create a certain item, the less cost it would take. If you are still short on resources, however, then you can spend premium currency to both bypass resource requirements as well as the time required to spend the goods.

Other structures will allow you to defend your base, to travel to other areas to battle other players, and to upgrade your weapons and learn new skills. Take note that each action will require one operation slot, but players can spend fuel to add more, allowing them to do more tasks simultaneously. It is also important to note that some structures may only be built on some bases, so make sure to research only those that can immediately serve its purpose so as to not waste precious resources.

Game Modes
The game features several modes, and players can accomplish a lot of tasks in order to attain resources and currency. Some actions would also move towards lowering the cost of research for some technologies. Aside from the main quests where in players must explore and clear each area and terraform it, there are also special missions that would pop out, and players can choose which rewards they want upon completion. There are also hacking and studying games where in players must connect lines, memorize patterns, and complete puzzles, among other tasks. These would provide players with new technologies, entries in the journal, and even resources as prizes/

Main quests also offer medals for rewards, which can be used to further train your characters. On the other hand, side quests may be unlocked once certain requirements have been met. The game also offers a PvP mode where in players can earn points that can then be used to buy items at the store. Explore through the menu and see what tasks you can perform as there is no energy system within the game. Of course, you should make sure that you have enough health before undertaking missions, especially if said objective requires you to do combat.

Battle Mechanics
Battle within Evolution: Battle for Utopia is automated, with both your character and your companion attacking. Players can switch between their primary and secondary weapons, although some weapons have limited ammo and must be reloaded as well. When reloading, players can time the location where in the bar stops, which would allow for faster reloads and increased damage. Having the bar stop at the wrong place will cause your gun to jam, however. Reloading can be done either automatically or manually, and can also be done while crouching down.

Crouching down is also a sound strategy especially since this will cause a shield to appear. Shields will reduce damage taken, and you must do this especially if enemies are attacking. This is signified by them having a red border around them. Enemies can also put up a shield, so use up this time to reload so that you’ll have full ammo for when they come back up. You may also throw a grenade at enemies, and this would disregard shields as well as deal more damage than usual.

When shooting, prioritize enemies that have orange circles around them. Those that are close to you should also be dispatched first. From time to time, some enemies may also throw grenades and other projectiles at you, and players must tap on it in order to avoid getting dealt a lot of damage. Commanders may also appear from time to time, and they must be defeated first as they will provide boosts to enemies around him. Commanders are indicated by a star.

When not in combat, health will regenerate, and players should ensure that they have enough before engaging in combat. Health can be refilled by using stimpacks or medkits, and health will also be filled up once players level up. Should players die in combat, they have the option to revive themselves using premium currency, or to exit the battle and have all items and ammo that they have used returned to them.

Achievements
Evolution: Battle for Utopia also has an achievement system where in players can get rewarded for completing certain tasks within the game. They can also get login bonuses which they would have to claim manually. Check up on these in the Achievements menu to claim prizes and to check up on current progress for all available achievements to complete.
