Those that can’t get enough of the multiplayer component in Call of Duty:
Ghosts will be happy to know that Onslaught adds four new multiplayer maps as
well as two new weapons.

====
MAPS
====
There are four new maps that are added to Call of Duty: Ghosts in the
“Onslaught” expansion pack.

They are as follows:

Bayview
Containment
Fog
Ignition

The Ignition map is notable because it is a remake of “Scrapyard” from Modern
Warfare 2.

In Onslaught, the contracts work differently than they do in other maps.
Usually players can pick up a briefcase, complete the objective, and then
either be rewarded with XP or a perk. In Onslaught, completing the objectives
will cause something unique to occur on each map to greatly help your team in
the match.

This is most notable in Fog. In Fog, completing the objectives in the briefcase
will cause you to turn into Michael Myers from the Halloween horror film
franchise. This comes complete with the iconic music from that film franchise
as well as giving you superhuman capabitilies when it comes to taking your
enemies with Michael’s trademark butcher knife weapon.

EGGS
====
The alien eggs that are seen in the Extinction game mode have made their way
over to the multiplayer. There is extra XP as well as an achievement attached
to finding all of the eggs in the core multiplayer game mode.

Here is the location of all the eggs in Call of Duty: Ghosts – Onslaught.

Bayview – Look at the map. Notice in the bottom right area there are three
lines that are diagonal and parallel to each other. Go there. Now look across
the water and you will see the egg attached to the bottom of the pier. Destroy
it.

Containment – Go to the northernmost part of the map. There will be a green
dumpster here. Climb on top of the dumpster and then climb on the ladder.
Go through the next room (north still) and look out the window. Across the
street there will be an egg sitting next to the air conditioning unit that is
sitting on top of the building.

Fog – Fog’s egg is pretty easy to find, yet kind of hard to see. Go to the
cave that is sitting in the middle of the map. Go to the waterfall that is
inside the cave. Look down and behind the vines there will be the egg.

Ignition – Ignition also has an easy egg. There is a ramp that goes underneath
the level. Go down that ramp, and then growing into the side of the wall will
be the egg for you to destroy.

2. Extinction

The first episode in a series of a new “Extinction” story series based on the
game mode from Ghosts, “Nightfall” is added as a part of the “Onslaught” DLC
pack.

=========
NIGHTFALL
=========
Nightfall brings various new additions to the Extinction game mode. There are
new challenges to complete, as well as a couple of new enemy types.

The first new enemy type that you will notice is a new alien that glows blue.
This alien fights the same as the Hunter class aliens, but he has an added
ability that makes him somewhat more formidable. This new alien can teleport,
so that means he is harder to kill.

There’s also a new boss type enemy called the Breeder. The Breeder will show
up after each section has been rid of its alien hives and must be defeated
before you can take the drill to the next section of hives and destroy them as
well.

Finally, there are lockers that can be opened by finding special keys. The
keys will spawn in the various boxes around the map that can be looted. The
keys will spawn randomly. The lockers contain special weapons that are
already pre-upgraded for you to use.

Overall, the gameplay for Nightfall is basically the same as you saw in the
original Extinction map, Point of Contact. For more information and strategies
