Gameplay
League of War is a tower defense and real time strategy game with card collection elements thrown in. Here, players can collect and upgrade cards that will be used to formulate squads, and these squads must be used in order to destroy the enemy’s base as well as all other units that they would place in front of you. Of course, you would have to defend your own command center as well, and this would entail both powerful units and the strategic placement of cards in order to counter whatever forces they would command to attack you. Various missions can be undertaken, and there are also PvP battles that will bring more challenge into the game.

Currency
Cash and gold bars are the two main currencies in Leagues of War. Cash is the basic currency, and this can be acquired by completing missions and by leveling up. Gold bars, on the other hand, may also be acquired by leveling up as well as by completing achievements. In addition, both of these currencies may be acquired via in-app purchases, among other methods.

Cash is used for the promotion and training of your units, while gold is used for functions such as refilling health and morale, as well as purchasing keys that can open warchests.

Leveling Up
As players do missions, players will earn experience points. Completing covert ops will also award them XP which would in turn cause players to level up. Leveling up will provide players with free currencies as well as a refill of both energy and morale. With that, don’t hesitate to exhaust your resources like energy when you are close to leveling up, as you would get a full meter once you have reached a new level.

Energy
Energy is a resource that is required for players to engage in battles. Different stages will require different amounts of energy, so make sure that you have enough. Energy regenerates over time and is refilled whenever players level up. Items may also be purchased that will replenish energy instantly.

Morale
Morale is another form of energy that is in turn used for PvP battles. Each PvP battle will require one morale, although players can spend more if they want to have units higher in level deployed. Like energy, morale also replenishes over time, but items and leveling up will also refill it instantly.

Cards
Players will be able to earn different cards as rewards for completing missions or when opening Warchests. Each card has specific stats such as attack, health, and supply cost. However, units also have other attributes such as movement speed, range, and recharge time, and all of these must be taken into consideration when choosing the six cards that will comprise your squad.

In addition, it is important to know which cards are strong against a certain unit, and what its weaknesses are as well. With that, players can react to what the enemies are deploying, and they can use this knowledge to create a diverse squad that will be able to beat any collection of force from enemies. Of course, upgrading cards via training and promotion can also be done in order to increase your units’ stats. Unused cards may also be sold in exchange for cash.

Upgrading
Players can use excess cards to upgrade units that they want to keep. There are two was of upgrading, namely promotion and training. Training will require players to consume cards in order to make the target card increase in level. However, keep in mind that units can only be trained up to a certain level before being maxed out. Also, there are certain units that were clearly made for training purposes, so make it a point to use them to improve on your favorite cards.

On the other hand, promotion requires two cards of the exact same type. These two cards can then be combined in order to come up with a single and stronger unit. Both of these methods are great ways to strengthen otherwise mediocre cards, and are also very productive ways to get rid of cards that you no longer want. Keep in mind also that both training and promotion will require cash to commence.

Supplies
In order to deploy units during battle, players must use up supplies. Supplies generate over time, and units can only be deployed once their cooldown times have been completed and once you already have enough supplies stored. Players can increase their supply capacity and generation speed by spending increasing amounts of supplies. This will allow you to more quickly call upon units that are stronger but would require more supplies to deploy.

Missions
Players can go through regular missions with each stage opening up once the current one has been completed. Players can also repeat stages as different rewards like rare units can be gained on top of the usual cash and experience earned. Each mission will require a certain amount of energy.

Also, there are special events that would pop up from time to time. These challenges are only available for a limited period, and while a bit more challenging than the usual battles, the rewards that you would potentially be able to get would be much better, as well.

Warchests
Along the way, players will be able to find keys that can range from bronze, silver, or gold. These keys can then be used to open units of increasing rarity and attributes. The more warchests players open at the same time, the higher the chance of players being able to get rarer items. More keys and more Warchests may be acquired by spending gold bars.

PvP
League of War allows players to do battle with one another. This will require morale, and more can be used in order to further level up your units once they have been deployed. This, however, will only be for the duration of the battle. PvP mode provides rewards depending on the number of medals that you have achieved and your speed by which you have achieved this. Thus, the higher your win streak goes, the better items you will be able to get as prizes.

Covert Ops
Covert ops serve as achievements that players can complete. These can range from winning your first PvP battle, to leveling up a unit, to adding a certain number of friends. Players can progress through several ops at once, and players can check up on how they are doing as well as collect prizes, often in the form of gold bars, cash, and experience, from the Covert Ops section which can be accessed from the upper right corner of the screen. Take note that all rewards won would have to be manually collected.

Social Function
League of War also has a social function where in players can form and join alliances. They can also invite friends to play the game, with each referral allowing players to earn bigger rewards. The more players you interact with, the bigger prizes that you would be able to win so don’t forget to connect the game to your social media accounts if you are serious about playing League of War.
