King of the Course Walkthrough [Guide]

Golf is a skill that takes some time to get the hang of, but with King of the Course, you can become a pro in an instant. Don’t be too cocky, though, as the challenges in this game will test your abilities, as having the perfect swing and maximum control over your ball is a must in order to get all three stars. King of the Course does not feature any real golfers from the PGA or any other organization, but you won’t mind as the competition will be very stiff regardless of this fact. Here’s our guide on how you can become the next Tiger Woods and be the ultimate ‘king of the course’.

Gameplay
King of the Course is a golfing simulation game where in players can use touch controls to simulate the game of golf, and players must be able to complete challenges given in each stage. Missions will test players’ accuracy and control of the ball both in order to be able to have it go where you want it. The better your performance, the more you will be able to score and the faster you will be able to unlock more golfers and upgrade their statistics so that they will become better overall.

Currency
Tokens are the only currency in this game, and this is used for purchasing new golfers and to upgrade their abilities, among other uses. Tokens are rewarded pretty sparingly in King of the Course, but you can make do with whatever is provided, most of the time. If you want to get the most out of the game, however, then buying them using real money is the way to go, with better deals awarded the more you are willing to spend.

Lives
Lives within the game are represented by balls, and failing a stage will deduct a ball from your storage. Players are required to have at least one ball in order to be able to play, and they will either have to wait or use up tokens to refill it. They can also choose to ask for extra balls from friends for as long as they connect the game to Facebook.

Controls
Controls within King of the Course are consistent all throughout. Players can control the strength of the swing by holding the screen and then swiping up, with the straightness of their ball’s flight depending on how straight they swiped. Players can also get to partially control the flight and spin of their ball by swiping the screen at the direction that they want the ball to go. Perfecting these two strategies is important in order for you to be able to get as close to your target as possible and to possibly even get the ball into the hole with the minimum number of swings.

Missions
There are four different mission types within the game, namely Hit the Spot, Bullseye, Longest Putt, and Stroke Play. Bullseye and Stroke Play are the more common mission types, however, with the other ones mainly serving as tutorials. Bullseye will have players hitting a set number of  balls in order to reach as close to the hole as possible, with certain areas signifying different points. On the other hand, Stroke Play focuses more on real life golf, as players are required to finish the course within a set number of moves.

Like most golf courses, there are also obstacles such as rough, bunkers, and water hazards to take note of. Some areas also have slopes, so players must do all they can in order to compensate. Perfecting the strength of their swing and ball flight as well as knowing the direction where you will have to hit the ball thus are very essential in order to be able to clear the stage.

Stars
Players can also earn stars for each stage of the game. Stars are earned depending on the player’s total score, and there are many ways to go about this. Getting awesome shots as well as performing stunts like making your ball spin, hitting the hole post, and many more will get you additional points, and so will sinking your ball. The latter also has the added advantage of, in the case of Bullseye mode, giving you additional balls, allowing you to make combos that will multiply your score the more balls you sink in succession.

Should players be able to reach three stars with moves left, then they will enter Hot Shot mode. Under this mode, players will be able to make double of whatever points they get to earn, allowing them to further add to their score. Players can try and return to previously completed stages in order to improve their performance and to try and get all three stars.

Stars are very important within King of the Course as getting enough will provide you with free golfer upgrades. Otherwise, doing this will require tokens.

Golfers
King of the Course offers several golfer templates, with each having their own strengths and weaknesses as well as providing cosmetic changes to your character. These respective attributes may be upgraded using tokens or by acquiring a certain number of stars throughout the game. Some additional golfers would be available initially, and one will be provided by connecting the game to Facebook. Others, on the other hand, may only be purchased and selected using tokens.

Social Function
As with most mobile games, King of the Course has a social function where in players can connect the game to Facebook and compare their scores to their friends. They can also earn extra tokens as well as give and receive extra lives. It is thus recommended to connect the game to social media not only so that you can get free lives without waiting, but also since being able to see your friends’ scores will further encourage you to improve your stroke and overall game, allowing you to be the true king of the course among your friends and dominate the green
