First there were Angry Birds, and now there’s Birzzles. The addictive game is back with Birrzle Fever, and this title promises even more content that you can use towards beating your own and your friends’ best scores. Part-match three game and part-collapse type game, Birzzle Fever provides players with short bursts of rounds that they can play anytime and anywhere. Add to that the various features within the game and Birzzle Fever becomes a challenge that will test your strategy with every move that you make. How many Birzzles can you pop within the time limit? Here’s our guide so that you can make amazing combos and make every second count.
Gameplay
Birrzle Fever is a collapse type game where in players must tap on tiles, called Birzzles, that are group in three or more or the same color. Doing so will remove the items from the board and more will then take its place. Special items will appear depending on the number of Birrzles eliminated, and players can get to score more in order to increase their combos and to have more items appear that can help your pop more birds. As player’s level up and continue playing, more content will be unlocked, allowing players to score even higher. Players are only given one minute to score as many points as they can.
Currency
Coins and gems are the two currencies available within the game. Coins are used to buy items in the store, and these can also be used to purchase upgrades for Superbirds and to buy new ones. Gems, on the other hand, can also be used to buy Superbirds as well as unlock items early on or buy premium items in the shop. Both gems and coins can be won as rewards from daily login bonuses, and while coins can easily be earned via regular gameplay, the usual way to get more gems is via in-app purchases. Of course, the latter is completely optional.
Leveling Up
The experience that players will earn will depend on how much they are able to score. Once players are able to level up, they will not only completely recover all of their health, but they will also get rewarded with coins as well as an increased score bonuses. Thus, the higher your level, the more you will be able to play and the better score you would be able to get.
Hearts
Hearts serve as energy for the game. This is required for players to start stages, and each round consumes one heart. Players can have a maximum of five hearts, and this refills over time. Leveling up will also refill your hearts instantly, and you can also ask for and receive additional hearts from friends so that you will be able to keep on playing. Paying premium currency will also replenish this resource instantly.
Combos
In order to score more points, in would be good for players to be able to score combos. Combos are done by making matches quickly, regardless of the number of birds in the match. Taking too long to make a move or missing will break the combo. Creating a ten match combo will trigger Fever Mode, where in scores will be worth much more. Reaching twenty-five combos will trigger bonus points as well as pause time for you to take a breath. More points will be rewarded as more max combos are reached within the game, and reaching twenty-five match combos will reset the counter to zero.
Aside from being able to score more, combos are used to fill up the combo meter located at the upper left of the screen. Waiting too long will deplete it, so make quick matches in order to keep the combo going. Filling up the combo meter will allow for special items to appear on the board, and these will help you further increase your score aside from the bonuses that combos will be able to provide.
Superbirds
Superbirds are special birds that will be able to provide you with special perks while playing. The first Superbird is free while others would have to be purchased using either coins or gems. Benefits would include faster filling up of your combo meter and more experience earned, among others. Superbirds may also be upgraded so that their provided benefits would improve by a certain percentage. Other Superbirds will also be made unlockable as players progress throughout the game.
The number and level of Superbirds will also have a passive effect on your gaming experience. Benefits include longer time limits and increased score percentages, so using coins to improve on your collection of Superbirds is a must.
Special Birds
Aside from making combos, ensuring that making matches of more than three Birrzles will also add to your score. Additionally, making matches of five or more Birrzles will create Beam or Dark Superbirds which, when triggered by making matches that they are a part of, will clear also all other tiles near it. Beam Powerbirds are created by matching five to nine Birrzles, while Dark Superbirds, which has a bigger area effect, are created once players are able to make matches of ten or more.
What’s also great about these special birds is that triggering them can also trigger other special birds near them. Use this chain reaction in order to score more, and it is also recommended to leave special birds scattered all over the board for that very purpose.
Items
There are special items that can either be bought or placed on the board once the combo meter has been filled up. Special items include boosters that will add a multiplier to your score until the end of the round, bombs that can destroy all Birzzles around it, and many more. Some items can be purchased at the shop using coins, and others would require players to either reach a certain level first or unlocking them early using gems. Players can bring up to three items at the beginning of the round, and these items may also appear once the combo meter has been filled up.
Bonus Mode
While playing, players will be able to find keys which are collected by having surrounding special items explode. Once enough keys has been collected, Bonus Modes will be activated. These are special stages that do not require hearts, and will allow players to get lots of coins in return. Make it a point to collect keys whenever they appear as these will provide you with the opportunity to get lots of free currency.
Missions
Missions are achievements that players can progress through either cumulatively or within the current game. Missions come in sets of three, and completing one will cause another to take its place. Completing missions will earn players wings, and once players have earned enough, they will increase in rank. Rank increases will provide players with coin rewards as well as unlock new features and content within the game such as new items that can be used or unlocked.
Missions can be skipped using premium currency, and wings earned must be collected manually. Missions include reaching a certain level, popping a minimum number of Birrzles, getting a specific number of Superbirds, and many more.
Daily Rewards
Those who are religiously playing the game will be rewarded via daily bonuses. Each time players log in per day. They can be given anything from gems to coins to other special items. This will have to be claimed so that you will be able to use it. Log in daily even if you don’t want to play the game in order to avail of these rewards.
Social Function
Connecting Birzzle Fever to Facebook will provide players with lots of benefits. Sharing achievements or scores, as well as giving or receiving hearts will earn players Friendship Points, which can then be used to get rewards. There are a total of 500 Friendship Points to be won each day, so the more friends you have and the more you interact with them, the more gifts you would be able to win.
