Your princess will be of some assistance as well, and she can deal some pretty decent damage for as long as you feed her right. Get ready for some intense action and read this guide to get you ahead in this game.

Gameplay
Fat Princess: Piece of Cake is a match type and role playing game where in players must clear each stage by defeating all enemies that stand in their way. Commands to your party are made by matching gems, the type of which will correspond as to which of your allies will be attacking or providing you with support. Players can also upgrade their allies by spending currency, making them stronger and more effective in battle.

Currency
Diamonds and coins are the two currencies being used within the game. Diamonds are the game’s basic currency and it could be won through regular gameplay and are used for upgrading your allies’ abilities. On the other hand, coins are the game’s premium currency, and it can also be used for upgrades. Coins may also be used to purchase boosts and powerups, as well as for refilling your stamina. However, coins are awarded very sparingly and the most effective way to get a lot of this resource is via in-app purchases.

Stamina
Like most mobile games, Fat Princess: Piece of Cake has an energy system that requires players to have adequate energy in order to play a level. Players are provided with eight stamina which regenerates over time. With this, players can either wait for their energy to refill, or pay for refills instantly using premium currency. 200 hundred gold will also allow players to remove the energy systems so that they can play as often as they want.

Allies
Players will have four characters to play as, and they can be controlled by eliminating tiles assigned to them. The first ally is the warrior, which can only strike one target at a time. The ranger, on the other hand, will hit all enemies in a row, albeit with lesser damage. The worker can damage up to two rows with the chance to stun while the priest can heal allies that have been damaged.

These characters differ in starting health, but this as well as their abilities may be improved by spending either coins or diamonds for upgrades. It is recommended that you create a well rounded team and to spend diamonds to upgrades whenever you can afford them in order to create a well balanced party.

It is possible for your allies to fall in battle, but they can be revived by using the appropriate powerup or by matching enough tiles that correspond to their color. Reviving fallen allies will cause them to return to full health and also attack.

Tiles
There are different tiles within the game, and most gameplay mechanics will require players to match them. The most basic tiles are the ones that will let your allies perform their actions. However, there are also diamond tiles which would allow you to earn more diamonds, cake tiles that, when enough has been collected, will allow you to summon the princess of powerful attacks and can also earn you extra diamonds in return.

Other special tiles may appear such as when players are able to form matches of four, five, or in the shape of an L or T. These tiles can cause a lot of damage to enemies, so prioritize making these matches whenever possible. Cascading matches can also allow you to perform multiple actions at once or even have extra turns, things which are very important as enemies will also attack you once their counters run out, and their attacks are generally capable of taking down your fighters faster than you can them.

However, there are some tiles that players would have to put some extra effort into to dispatch from the grid. For example, castle tiles would have to reached the bottom of the grid so that they would be removed from the board, while some tiles would require players to make matches either within or adjacent to them before they would behave like regular tiles. Likewise, some tiles can damage or even kill your characters when matched. The game provides a detailed legend so that you will know more about the tiles that would be appearing from time to time.

Powerups
Powerups are special items that players can use especially during tougher levels. Powerups are available and can be stocked, and it can also be given as rewards. Powerups include the Revive which restores the health of all heroes that have been killed, and the Hammer which allows players to destroy any tile that they want. Two other powerups are available which could destroy an entire column or tiles as well as lets you deal double damage for three turns, but these would only be able a bit later in the game.

Boosts
Aside from powerups, players can also purchase boosts. However, boosts differ from powerups such that the effects are permanent and are not consumable. Examples of boosts are health, damage, and diamond gain boosts, and all of these are permanent effects to your game. Boosts will require premium currency to purchase, but is a very effective way to gain the upper hand from your enemies as well as to earn more diamonds at a faster rate.

Social Function
Fat Princess also has a social function where in players can connect the game to Facebook. Here, players can see the scores of their friends, and being online will also let players better take advantage of the Spin Reels which appear at the end of each stage. Thus, if you are serious about the game, go online in order to make the best out of the features available within the title.
