Gameplay
World of Warriors is a fighting and collection game where in players can collect and maintain a group of fighters and pit them against individuals and teams. Players must go through different stages of increasing difficulty and actively attack opponents until only one party remains standing. Fighting revolves around QTEs where in timing and reflexes are important in order to maximize each attack. There are also other elements such as special skills, elemental affinities, and talismans that will change your strategy and technique in battle.
Currency
Coins are the game’s basic currency. It is used for crafting talismans and for training your warriors. Coins are earned during each battle and by collecting them whenever enemies fall. Premium currency can also be exchanged for coins so that you will always have enough.
On the other hand, honor stones and wildstones are the game’s premium currency, with wildstones being more precious than the former. Wildstones and honor stones can be used to recruit warriors, and they may also be used to purchase other items such as stamina, talisman, potions, and others in the shop. Honor stones may be found in treasure chests while wildstones are usually acquired via in-app purchases. Also, they may be acquired by completing achievements within the game.
Stamina
World of Warriors works with an energy system, represented by the food icon at the top of the screen. Each time players participate in a battle, a certain number of food is consumed. Players can either wait for it to refill, or pay premium currency to refill it immediately. Leveling up will also automatically refill your stamina meter, so watch out for these conditions so that you can continue playing more.
Warriors
Players are able to collect and control different warriors within the game. They can be acquired either by using honor stones or wildstones, with the latter yield more powerful characters. Each character has different elemental affinities, which is important in order to exploit possible weaknesses of your opponent. Warriors also have different powers, which can be activated during battle but which would require mana, as well as leader skills which would only be activated if that certain warrior is placed in the leader slot for your party. Different stages will require different maximum number of warriors that can be placed in your party.
Warriors also gain experience as they are used in battles. Warriors will have to be trained so that they can level up, and this will require both coins and time, although the latter can be sped up using wildstones. Warriors that level up will have their stats increased, and it may also unlock talisman slots and new skills that will affect them or their team.
Talismans
Talismans are special items that can be equipped by warriors, giving them an advantage in battle. Talismans may be bought at the shop or crafted using materials acquired in battle. Equipped talismans have a set number of uses, and they will become obsolete once they have been used up. Warriors will often need to be levelled up before slots for them become available, although some warriors already have open slots once they have been acquired.
Shop
The shop is where players can purchase various items such as honor stones, wildstones, and coins. Here, players may also purchase potions that can help refill their health and mana. There are also talismans that may be purchased using either honor stones or wildstones. These are not mandatory purchases but will really be able to help you out especially against tougher opponents.
Achievements
Achievements are special achievements that players can complete while playing. They can check through the list in the Achievements section, and this is also where players can claim rewards, which would include honor stones or wildstones, for completing them.
Daily Rewards
World of Warriors also has a daily reward system where players will be given better prizes for each consecutive day that they play the game. This is by far the easiest way to earn honor stones and wildstones, so make sure to take advantage of this opportunity if you are serious about the game.
Others
World of Warriors also offers different features that will either be available later or in succeeding updates. These include social functions where in players can connect with others and send each other gifts via Facebook, as well as a PvP function where players can battle each other online. There are also the Portal and Tower of Trials sections that will become available later within the game. Players would thus have to make sure that they keep levelling up and download updates as they come along so that you can avail of these features once they become available.
