PegGoo Pop Walkthrough [Guide]

The title of the game says it all – there are pegs, there are goos, and players must try and pop everything in sight. PegGoo Pop is an addictive game that redefines physics-based puzzle games as it combines mastery of the concept of gravity, and a little bit of luck, in order to complete objectives and score as high as possible. Keep on popping the goo and get all three stars by reading this guide and making each of your balls count.

Gameplay
PegGoo Pop is a coin dropper type puzzle game where in players would drop balls, hitting goos and interacting with pegs on the way down. The journey of your balls will end up in funnels, and players can affect their balls’ movements by tilting their device left and right along the way. Aside from objectives that must be completed, players must also try and score as many points as they can before their balls run out. This can be done by having their balls bounce on several objects such as the boundaries of the screen, planes and other flying objects, and even each other when you launch more than one ball at a time.

Currency
Coins are the game’s main currency. Coins are quite rare to come by, and in-app purchases are the most efficient but optional way to acquire these. Coins are used to purchase powerups, refill lives, as well as acquire permanent upgrades such as more lives and more balls per round. Players can, however, go through the game without having to spend this resource, although it can really be an advantage if you have coins at hand.

Lives
Like most puzzle games, PegGoo Pop utilizes a life system where in failing or prematurely quitting a stage will cost a life. Lives regenerate every thirty minutes, and players may also spend coins in order to refill this instantly or ask friends for extra lives. A maximum of five lives can be stored, but this capacity may be increased by spending coins. Choose these options or simply wait it out if you want to get to play more levels.

Powerups
Powerups are special balls that players can use if they find a particular stage difficult. There are three types of powerups available, namely the Multiball which splits into three when coming into contact with an object, the Bomb Ball which explodes and destroys goo after a few seconds, and the Rocketball which destroys everything in its path.

Powerups unlock at specific stages, and players must spend coins in order to get these items. Tapping on the powerup will turn the next ball into that particular type, so make sure that you are using the right powerup for the situation and only if you need it to complete the stage. Otherwise, use your regular balls and save powerups for tougher challenges ahead.

Stages
Stages come in a linear fashion, with more stages unlocking as previous ones get completed. Objectives within the game include popping a specific number of a particular type of goo, scoring a minimum number of points, or having your balls fall into a required amount of distinct funnels.

Aside from being able to complete objectives, players can also earn stars by scoring a specific number of points. This can be made easily by completing the primary objective while still having balls stored. Whenever this happens, points scored will be increased, making the goal of attaining all three stars within the stage easier. Players can also retry previously completed stages in order to get stars that they have not yet acquired or to try and beat their or their friends’ scores.

Players will fail a stage should they run out of balls before they are able to complete the required objective. Should this happen, players can either retry the stage at the cost of one heart, and pay real money to pick up where they left off with some extra balls.

Social Function
PegGoo Pop also has a social function where players can connect to others via Facebook. If this feature is used, players can compare their scores against how their friends fared, and they can also give and receive lives from each other. Thus, connect with friends if you want to be able to keep on playing with spending a dime or waiting too long.
