Sandwich addicts rejoice as there is now someone working out there so that you can be sure to get your fix. All you need to do is knock on his door and, if you’re lucky, you’ll be going home a very satisfied customer. It may sound weird to some that sandwiches are the products of choice of this particular game, but that’s what the people behind this title have had to do in order to make it more politically correct (a, shall we say, ‘illegal substance’ was the original product of choice). Work your way from small time dealer as you uncover who the real underground sandwich lords are in this very addictive game, and here’s our guide on how you can be the best undercover cop/sandwich king in this side of town.
Gameplay
Sandwich Empire: Undercover War is a resource management game where in goals would include cultivating sandwich plants and making deals with clients so that you will be able to earn cash. Tending to your crops is important as you would have to make sure that they are properly watered so that they will grow. Keeping your customers satisfied is important, and players would also have to ensure that characters such as Scott the police officer would not bust you and take away your cash and stash. Different items will also be available for purchase and would help you in your endeavor in various ways.
Currency
Cash is the game’s main currency, and it is used to purchase many different things in the shop as well as from customers. In addition, it can be used to pay off Scott the cop so that he will not confiscate your sandwiches. Cash is earned primarily by selling sandwiches to customers, although sharing the game to friends as well as exchanging real money for it are also optional methods for getting additional cash.
Leveling Up
Sandwich Empire: Undercover War has a leveling up system where in performing actions such as growing, selling, or eating sandwiches will earn players experience points. Completing tasks, however, is the best way to earn experience which is why this must be prioritized above all else. Once enough experience has been earned, players will level up. This is important as lots of other content will become available for purchase, allowing you to purchase better items that can help you out in the game.
Sandwiches
Sandwiches are the products that you will be selling to customers for money. Sandwiches are grown from seeds, which you must then plant in pots and water in order for it to grow. Sandwiches will take time to grow, and players must maintain that they are properly watered all throughout in order to speed up the growing process.
Sandwiches are sold to customers in exchange for cash, but certain situations may also decrease your stash of sandwiches such as eating them for yourself or having them get confiscated by Scott the police officer. Sandwiches may be stored in the vault for safekeeping, but this feature would be made available at later stages of the game.
Seeds
All sandwiches come from seeds, and different seeds will yield a different number of crops. Better and more expensive seeds will yield better crops, so make sure to acquire these as they become available so that you can increase your stash and sell more sandwiches without having to make customers wait.
Water
Water is a resource which is very important within the game. During the entire growing process, plants must be watered, and players must also be able to conserve this resource by giving the crops just enough. This is especially the case for low quality pots that constantly lose water. Water is available for purchase at the store in different quantities, with better items becoming available as players level up.
Pots
Sandwiches must be grown in pots. Different pots are available for purchase, with better ones being able to maximize water more. Multiple pots may be purchased and placed in your base, and this allows you to grow multiple crops simultaneously. However, take note that instances like letting Scott the police officer arrest you or leaving him outside your door for too long may result in him confiscating your pots.
Ferts
Ferts are consumable items which may be purchased at the shop, with better ones becoming available as you level up. Ferts are essentially fertilizers which may be placed in your pot so that the crops growing there would be ready faster. This item is essential for those who don’t want to wait the regular period of time, but is completely optional unless as part of tasks.
Music
Once players are able to purchase the record player from one of the customers, they will be able to utilize different kinds of music in order to increase the amount of experience earned. Like Ferts, music is completely optional unless as parts of quests, but is a great way for you to level up faster for as long as one type of music or another is playing in the background.
Customers
Different customers will come knocking at your door, and it is your job to open up for them or they will go away. These customers would then give you an offer of cash in exchange for a certain number of sandwiches. At this point, players can choose to accept or decline the offer and then ask them to leave. Another option is to eat a sandwich with them. When this happens, players will either change the deal, which would either increase or decrease your earnings as a whole, or they would simply cancel the transaction.
Eating with customers is thus a gamble as you might end up with less money as well as nothing. However, players can find specific patterns and they can pretty much guess what the resulting post eating deal will be. This is all just guesswork, though, but based on experience the rewards of eating is worth more than the disadvantages, so don’t sweat losing out on a deal as you can pretty much make it for it at a later time.
Be wary also of visitors such as Scott the police officer which you must either pay off with a bribe or risk losing even more of your cash or sandwiches. Players have the option of deciding what they want to do once he comes for a visit, and visitations are also random so you should always be ready to pay them off or have some other action plan.
Items
At later levels, players will be able to purchase items from their customers. Each item has a certain worth, and may either be consumable or permanent. These items coincide with specific tasks and will be in use as more content unlocks. For example, the vault allows you to store sandwiches and cash so that Scott the police officer would not get his hands on it. Panties may also be bought in order to serve as a bribe, while record players can be used in conjunction with music that you can purchase at the shop.
Tasks
Tasks are objectives that can be met in exchange for lots of experience. Tasks would include accumulating a certain number of cash or sandwiches, or purchasing a particular item once it has been unlocked. There are two tasks that can be done simultaneously, and more will become unlocked as previous tasks get completed. Focus your efforts towards the completion of tasks so that you can earn experience and level up faster.
