Rockstar has successfully launched GTA 5 on all major platforms including the PC, after a whole two years since its original launch.
Now, the developers’ attention is moving towards GTA 6 which is being rumored to be scheduled for a 2018 launch.
The news doesn’t come as a surprise because unlike Bethesda or other companies which don’t have a confirmed launch schedule for their franchises, Rockstar is one company that is dedicated to Grand Theft Auto for over two decades now. The entire team focuses on GTA, while there are those who do titles like Red Dead Redemption and L.A. Noire, from time to time.
It is for sure that the next title is going to be bigger, better and definitely mind blowing as the developers are known for pushing the futuristic gameplay elements to their limits. They were the ones who introduced the concept of multiple characters and allowing the players to switch between them. They have re-defined open world with GTA 5 one more time and GTA 6 is going to rock, no doubts!
Ryan Gosling is the Lead
News also confirms that Ryan Gosling could be the star in the upcoming game which has been scheduled for launch in 2018 on the PS4 and the Xbox One consoles. It is given that the game wouldn’t appear on the PC platform at least for a year or so until they have made enough sales in the existing consoles. We may even have PS5 and Xbox Next by then but if you are a PC gamer, just hope that Rockstar wouldn’t make you wait two or three whole years to cover all console platforms first.
Apart from Ryan Gosling in the lead character, it is also being said that a new female lead will be introduced in the game for the first time. Ever since its launch, the focus has been solely on male characters and GTA has been a male centric title for so long, with lots of cars, action, drugs and girls. But, introducing a female playable character could change the way than it has ever been.
Bigger Maps, Obviously!
GTA 6 is going to feature at least five different cities merged into one. Instead of creating one huge Los Santos, Rockstar might probably focus on creating three or five cities. Players will be able to use the airport or travel on their own planes to the new city. The concept was already introduced in Vice City and San Andreas which is going to expand further in an unconstrained manner due to powerful hardware.
