Bethesda was quick to react to the claims that were circulating on the web recently.
In their last Twitter feed, it was claimed that all versions of the game will be restricted to 1080p and only 30 frames per second.
It came as an obvious shock to PC gamers because given the graphics quality of the title, it should be really easy even for a mid-range gaming rig to run the title on 2K resolution. Besides, the frame rates are exceptionally high for most games on Windows computers because they are not constrained by size, RAM or graphics cards. The PS4 and Xbox One are quite restricted in this scenario, partly because of the companies behind them while the rest is because of the hardware specifications.
Bethesda Confirmed
In their recent tweet, Bethesda didn’t waste any time, but confirmed that they are not going to limit the PC version of Fallout 4, by any chance. The developers have a good idea about the power of the Windows platform as they have already made games like Elder Scrolls Skyrim and Fallout 3 for the platforms. The Xbox One and Playstation 4 are completely new entrants. Developers are still grasping the way they work to make titles run at 1080p HD resolution with at least 30 frames per second.
“Resolution and the frame rates for the PC version of the game will not be limited in any way”, said Bethesda in their tweet. The confirmation is what players have been looking forward to hear for a long time and they have finally had the chance to do so. When the news came that it is going to 30 FPS on PC as well, some of them were already ready to download mods or even create their own modifications to bypass the FPS limit. Ubisoft earlier claimed that increased graphics could crash the game on computers, but in reality the statement is applicable only for the next gen consoles, which is what Bethesda has accepted now.
1080p, 30 FPS is assured
For console gamers, it is good news that irrespective of the machine they own, Fallout 4 is going to run at 30 FPS on them. Both Xbox One and PS4 will have 1080p resolution which is another milestone for the game developer. They have made some compromises on the graphics department, but it isn’t such an issue as it was done mainly to compensate complex game play elements.
