Not everyone had the opportunity to visit E3 2015 directly or take a look at Naughty Dog developed Uncharted 4 – A Thief’s End.
But, those who did realized that Nathan Drake has changed a lot since the original games.
The main character in the storyline, Nathan has been around for a long time now and if rumors are true, this is going to be his last adventure. After making multiple Uncharted games, Naughty Dog is now planning to work on a completely new exclusive AAA title for the Playstation 4 console. It is definitely good news for the gamers, but bad because Drake may no longer be around. Whatever the scenario is, the last game is going to be amazing without a doubt for many reasons. His speedy movement is going to play an important role in making the title feel faster and more responsive than ever.
Highly Responsive Gameplay
The lead developers and founders of Naughty Dog had a brief talk with the media who confirmed that Uncharted 4 is the fastest title in the series. They have not only made the world more dynamic with better enemy AI and citizens, but also made Nathan Drake move at top speed. According to the game developers, he moves at 60 kph all the time and if you have had a chance to look at the E3 2015 video, you will easily realize it.
“Nathan is much more responsive and he wouldn’t simply run through the obstacles, but react to the actions that take place on screen. When he is hanging off a cliff, his expressions will change to reflect that of fear. And, when enemies keep firing at him, his face will flinch as real humans do. We have integrated at least 200 bones to make his face muscles responsive and act out of instinct than like an AI character,” said the chief design engineer.
A World that Reacts
The world in which Uncharted 4 – a Thief’s end is set in will also react to the actions that take place. The furniture, clothes and even the stuff kept on top of the tables will fly when the characters move over them. If Nathan Drake jumps on a table, it will be completely rattled as he will be swift with his movement and possibly knock them all down. Similarly, when there is a gun fire, you can see the entire map getting damaged with every bullet.
