While the game is coming to PS4 and Xbox One, Electronic Arts and DICE have a strong focus on the PC platform.
Star Wars Battlefront is a game that could go places on the Windows PCs because it is the next big thing after the successful Battlefield franchise.
For the first time, the Star Wars series game is being designed by a studio that has a strong track record for making some of the best multiplayer titles in history. They have already done an excellent job with Battlefield 4 despite the numerous bugs and are expected to take the Battlefront game to new levels. The E3 2015 demo and gameplay videos were just amazing. It not only has some hectic battle going on in the ground, but there are the huge AT & T walkers as well as the rogue squadron planes on the sky. As if this is not enough, the heroes including Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader goes to a head on battle heating it up even further.
Minimum PC Specs for Alpha Edition
Electronic Arts confirmed that the alpha version of Star Wars Battlefront is going to be conducted among a group of selected players. It is not going to be open because there could be a lot of issues that only professionals could cope up with. An open beta is expected close to the actual release date.
If you have received an invite from EA to join the alpha program, you need to have at least a 2.8 GHz quad-core processor preferably an i5 or an AMD Phenom clocked at 3.2 GHz. The suggested RAM is 6 GB, which would be found in most computers as many users rely on 64-bit operating systems these days. Windows 7 and 8 is supported, but there is no word on its compatibility with Windows 10 as it is yet to be officially released. You need to use an Nvidia GTX 680 graphics card or an HD 7870 card from AMD with 2 GB of VRAM.
Registrations are Open
While very few gamers will be able to join the alpha program, you still have the option to sign up. Go to this website http://starwars.ea.com/starwars/battlefront/alpha and provide your information. If you are lucky enough, EA will pick your e-mail id and send you a code that you could redeem. The alpha quality of Star Wars Battlefront shouldn’t be confused with the final product, added EA.
