Fallout 4 Features Emerged At Quakecon Event

Bethesda was present during the Quakecon event and came with a new demo of Fallout 4. The event has revealed some new details about the game along with a few interesting aspects and mechanics that we’ll see on Fallout 4.

According to Polygon, Todd Howard gave a few hints on how the progression for characters will work in the upcoming game. For example, the “SPECIAL” system will be present in the Fallout 4. This system will have 7 areas that can have an impact on the development of a character based on: strength, perceptions, charisma, endurance, agility, luck and intelligence.

The “SPECIAL” system is used to unlock different abilities, all of them being linked to the stats we’ve mentioned above.

In Fallout 4, there will be 12 companions, including Dogmeat (the dog), Mr. Handy, Piper and Preston Gravey. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use all companions at the same time, as you are limited to 1 companion at a time.

It seems that things can get quite “romantic” with these companions. However, according to Howard, these romances can only include human companions. It is good to know that the companion can have the same gender as you.

Two of the known human companions that Fallout 4 game will come with are: Preston Garvey and Piper. Preston Garvey is the leader of Commonwealth Minutemen, while Piper is an editor of a newspaper that’s distributed in Diamond City and called Public Occurrences.

She (Piper) will most likely give you a lot of story assignments that you will need to fill, but at the same time, she will also enjoy to get her hands dirty on a dusty road with you.

What are your thoughts about the upcoming Fallout 4 companions? Which one is your favorite until now? Will you prefer a loyal companion such as the Dogmeat (the dog) or Piper (the woman)?
