Battlefield 2142 is an online first person shooter video game developed by Digital Illusions CE for Electronic Arts. It is the overall fourth installment in the battlefield games series. In conquest mode, there are two teams consisting of equal number of players depicted as two opposite factions fighting each other to collect spawnpoints.

Though Battlefield 2142 single player mode exists but real fun comes in playing it in online multiplayer mode. Its multiplayer mode supports upto 64 players. Surprised, in single player mode also, upto 16 players can play against bots. Just like Battlefield 2, it has its own unique system of ranking players. Better the rankings more features are unlocked to the player. The game has total of 16 map packs out of which 10 comes along with Battlefield 2142. Players are also given awards in the game.
