Jak And Daxter The Precusor Legacy Guideline Part 3

Mountain Pass

After defeating Klaww, the boys are once again on the Zoomer, this time in a race against three Lurkers who plan to blow up the Mountain Pass to the Volcanic Crater. Four power-cells are obtained from this mission. The last power-cell you can only get once of have completed the Snowy Mountain.

Volcanic Crater

Once the boys save the Mountain Pass, they have to activate the transportation gate once more for Samos and Kiera. The group then get interrupted by Maia and Gol, who are the ones behind the vanishing of the Red and Blue Sages. Daxter then realizes that Gol is the Sage from the North who specializes in Dark Eco, and that Gol has gone evil.

Nevertheless the boys continue their adventure as the mission now becomes to stop Gol and Maia, since the two wish to unleash Dark Eco in the world which would be disastrous for the entire world. The boys get told by Kiera that they need to more power-cells so that she power-up the ray shields of the Zoomer, so that they can follow Maia and Gol. At this point the boys should already have about 69 power-cells, so they only need to find 6 more.

The boys meet up with another Oracle who gives them two power-cells, also they run into two miners who are looking a rare crystal, the miners will pay them 4 power-cells, if they should bring them 90 precursor orbs for each power-cell.

Snowy Mountain

Jak and Daxter need to go to the Snowy Mountain, first because here they need to activate the Yellow Eco vents which will give the boys access to various power-cells. However the boys need at least 50 power-cells to activate the Gondola in the Volcanic Crater. The Yellow Eco vent switch is found behind a small forest near the Lurker Fortress, the boys need to evade various traps to get to the switch.

On Snowy Mountain the boys will need to defeat the Lurker Glacial Troops, which should be done by using the Red Eco vents located near them. The next mission is to open the Lurker Fort gate, which is done by riding the Flut-Flut across a cavern with precursor platforms, once open the boys can head into the Lurker Fort. The boys simply need to navigate across the Lurker Fort to complete this area.

There are other smaller missions that will earn the boys more power-cells, these are relatively straightforward but in this area the main aim is to watch the ice, because on some bridges it can get very slippery to the extent that the boys can fall to their doom. Once the boys have completed this area they can go back down to the Volcanic Crater using the Gondola.

Spider-cave

The cave is found by travelling the mine-cars, the boys have to stop the Lurkers from mining up the Dark Eco crystals which Gor and Maia need to complete their plan. In the cave there are various power-cells which the boys get, but the main aim here is to always stay charged up with Green Eco and to watch your step because there is a river of Dark Eco flowing through the cave, the tricky part here is that two of the Dark Eco Crystals are found in pools, the one pool is found in the Dark Path and the other pool is found as you are going to the mine where the Giant Robot is found.

Apart from destroying the Dark Eco Crystals, in the Spider Cave, Jak and Daxter also have to find their way through a dark cave by kicking Green Eco powered crystals, they must shoot the Gnawing Lurkers using Jak’s Goggles, they have to climb the giant robot and they must once more collect 7 scout flies.

Conclusion

After completing the Spider-Cave the boys go back to Kiera giving her the 72 power-cells need to upgrade the heat shield on the Zoomer, used in previous levels, which will allow the boys to travel to Gol and Maia’s Citadel using the Lava Tube. This completes our look at the third level of the game, in general the third level is rather tricky and needs a lot of focus on where the boys are, otherwise it can become difficult and tricky to complete.
