One of the greatest things I like about World of Wacraft is it's versatility and the rejuvenating feeling you get when you play as a different class. Now why am I talking about new characters? Because I made one! I rolled my first Warlock yesterday and I'm loving it. This character is very fun to play as. You see, it plays like a Mage, by it's not. Why? Well, Warlocks have DoT skills which stands for damage over time. With these babies, you can eat at your enemies health so they can be easily pwned. Ah wait, it gets even better. You see, Warlocks get minions, starting with an imp at level one. At level 10, you get another minion called the Voidwalker. It pretty much looks like an elemental except it is shrouded by shadow. These guys have a built-in system to tank for their master. So you don't have to worry at all. The Voidwalkers hit hard and they have a skill called torment that gets any aggro from any mob targeting you. These guys are someone to watch out for on the battleground.
Now, why am I talking about this now? Well, I would like to share my opinion on which skill tree to choose as a Warlock. The thing is, Warlocks can be deadly in battlegrounds but it always depends on the skill tree. Granted, gear does have a factor, but if you don't have the right Talent Tree chosen. You are pretty much screwed. As a rogue, I encountered many warlocks on the battlefield and they were easily vanquished, but why? Because they weren't specialized in the correct Talent tree. I could ambush, kidney shot, and a couple of more moves and they were down before I knew it. This is why it is important to be careful to choose your correct talent tree.
Now, enough delay, which talent tree do I pick? Affliction. This tree brings out the part that makes a Warlock special, his DoT's. Used correctly these skills could kill our enemy even after you are down. Affliction is the best Talent tree to go with. It helps to inprove damage and to get the best out of every skill. If you are trying to get the best resut ou of your Warlock I recommend you get a a very good build . For example the one that I prefer is part of the Zygor leveling guide. This guide include a talent advisor with it, giving you the edge on any player out there.
So, choose Affliction and get in those BG's and tear it! Also, there are some article writers who think that they can write an article on WoW even if they don't play it. I'm not like that. If you want to know if I really have a character, go on the armory and search for Derpdurp on Blackrock.
