Everyone has been Ga-ga over the latest release of Diablo 3, including yours truly. I have heard of the Diablo series for years and never tried it myself. Long time fan of World of Warcraft, I was curious this time around. For an overwhelming price however, I decided I would try this game out before truly investing in it, which I recommend normally for any game if possible!
That being said, my fiance, who I met on World of Warcraft, signed up for the annual contract for WoW and in turn received Diablo 3 for free, as many others have. Upon the release of the game, the next day while he was at work I decided it was time to give it a go and test it out. I started with my normal play style of course, caster class, resulting in my first character, Vaygah the wizard.
Upon entering the world I was shocked at first, I was reminded of a zombie apocalypse with all the undead creatures wandering around. Wand by my side, I trudged forth and slaughtered my enemies. Before I knew it, I was getting deep into the story and finding out what exactly happened and why there were undead creatures all over the place wreaking havoc. Before I knew it, my fiance was home and I had been playing the game for over 8 hours!
Talk about addicting and I wasn't even close to being done! It was settled for me, I immediately purchased myself my own copy to my battle account and began the download. After learning I couldn't handle the graphics, I promptly went to our local electronics store and upgraded my graphics card as well. I ended up spending a good chunk of money just to get this game functioning on my computer. To be honest, I don't regret any of it!
I truly thought this would be another random click to move game with a predictable story line and buggy graphics. Pleasantly surprised, it was nothing like I had imagined. I have been so impressed with the story line that I have neglected many of the duties I should be performing, like writing articles for one (hah!), and working on the site. I began recording my reactions and my point of view for the story line and calling it Vaygah's quest. I have been so shocked by many of the outcomes within the story and I must admit that the cinematics are breathtaking!
If you haven't had a chance to see this game or play it, I truly suggest that you do. Just be careful and be sure to have a sponsor to help pry your fingers from the keyboard every once in awhile or you will be just as addicting as me!
