From day one Blizzard has made the World of Warcraft very addictive. This is why so many people are drawn to it, not only is it an escape from reality but it is a very, very, very addictive one! People are competitive by nature and Blizzard has done a fantastic job in taking advantage of this competitive nature. The whole game is built around addictive activities that players use to compete and compare themselves with others. Some may consider these traps, some consider them great fun, and others consider them a good way to make the day go by.
One of their latest hooks came with their new expansion, the Wrath of the Lich King. This expansion brought about the ever so wanted Crusader Title. It is difficult, time consuming, and down right mind blowing to get. Because of this people want it and people are in awe when they see people that have it. They know what they went through to get that title and they envy that. This title separates the men from the boys. It is a title to be flaunted. A long with the prestige gained from the player base this item also grants its owner the ability to obtain rare and unique items that would not have been offered otherwise.
Gaining respect has been a part of Warcraft since the very start. I remember when my guild was the first on our server to raid Molton Core. People were in awe when they saw the gear that we brought up from the depths of this hellish place. We loved the items, yeah. But we loved more the respect we had earned from not only the players on our server but from the WoW community as a whole. This new Crusader Title is no different. This title puts you into a whole new bracket of respect and envy.
As stated earlier this title brings much more to the table to just bragging rights. When you get this title you can take advantage of that little companion you earned in the Argent Tournament. Remember? That one you tucked away because of how useless it felt? With the crusader title you'll have access to the Argent Pony Bridle. This my friends, is a very hand item to acquire. That useless pet will now become one of your best friends for this item gives him the ability to become a mailbox, a vendor, and even a bank! from anywhere! Yes, that's right, anywhere! You won't be tied down to any city, major or minor, not with this little fellow in tow.
This title also unlocks for the user the ability to gain Heirlooms. These little buggers of equipment hold a very special place in my heart. Remember those days of grinding characters to 60 because there was nothing else to do? It was tedious, but time consuming, that's why we did it - for something to do. And occasionally to fill in a healing or tank spot in raids, since everyone decided DPS was a great class to play! These Heirlooms are equipment that allow players to level alts with ease. They give a nice exp bonus (10% per heirloom), and they level with your character. This is great because it keeps your character current without the user having to bother with all that nonsense at lower levels.
That said, you're probably wondering how the hell you can obtain this godly title? Well friend, listen on! The first task is pretty straight forward, thought time consuming. If you're Alliance you'll need to achieve Exalted Champion of the Alliance, and if you're Horde you'll have to achieve Exalted Champion of the Horde. This task can prove overwhelming. It's a long road ahead but fear not for I am here to make this task much, much less daunting than it needs to be!
