Ps3 RPG List

There have been a handful of RPGs that have come out for the Playstation 3. Some Amazing, some with mixed reactions, some not so good, and some that didn’t get the time of day it deserves. In this article I made a list that will go over a few PS3 RPGs, both upcoming and already released. I will compile them into a list in no particular order, and give a brief overview of them. These are RPGs that are available on the Playstation 3 only, not any other type of game, by that I don’t mean Playstation 3 exclusives, I just mean it is an RPG that can be played on the Playstation 3 system, including but not limited to exclusives.

Upcoming

The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim: This is a highly anticipated game, and is currently one of if not the most popular subject in gaming. It offers a vast huge world with graphics enhanced from Oblivion. It puts the gamer into an immersive world and gives them total freedom on how they play their game. Allows complete character customization on both how your character looks and plays. Oh and there are dragons as well, actually, they are a core part of Skyrim so expect a lot of dragons! This is a game to look into if you are new to the RPG genre, or if you are a fan in general. Final Fantasy XIII-2: Although the first one received a fair amount of criticism, I enjoyed it. Well this is the sequel to XIII. It expands upon the first story and puts you in the shoes of Serah, Lightning’s sister. It allows for more freedom than the first game, and has a new monster companion system. It also features new characters as well as the return of older characters. If you enjoyed the first game, give this game a look into it looks promising. Releases: 2012

Dark Souls: This game really provides a challenge, I have yet to play it but from what I’ve heard from my friends, they say it is a lot better than Demon’s Souls (which I have played and it is a great game). If you are looking for a rough and challenging game, look no further, you will not be disappointed with Dark Souls. It takes what was good from the first game, and adds upon it. It is now a connected world, so you can travel to all areas by foot, and from what I’ve seen and heard, it is a lot harder than Demon’s Souls, and this was confirmed by the creator himself! A highly recommended game.

White Knight Chronicles 2: This PS3 RPG is a follow up of the first game. The first game received negative reviews and was criticized for being too easy and having a bland story. Having played the first White Knight Chronicles, I can say that it is really easy and the story is nothing to write home about, however, what saved it to me was its multiplayer. It allowed you to take on quest with a buddy or stranger, while finding rare weapons and items. The gameplay feels very much like FF XII This game expands upon that and tries to fix the mistakes of the first game. It also includes the first game so if you never bought it, you can but this and have two games in one. If you were a fan on the first you will probably like this game.

This isn’t by any means all of the PS3 RPGs that were released or that are coming out, these are just a scratch on the surface of what is to come; I just stated a few here. I think these the hottest RPG releases coming out, and just some worthwhile RPGs that are already out. Like I stated before there are many more promising PS3 RPGs than what I listed here, this is just a general impression and enough to get you started if you are new to RPGs.
