I can remember playing golf games on my computer about twenty years ago, and there is no doubt that they have evolved a great deal since then. Back then they were extremely basic because the graphics were relatively poor, and you had to use a joystick or some keys on your keyboard to play a shot.
Up until a few years ago they were still relatively basic in some ways because although the graphics were much better, you still had to play shots the old fashioned way. It was all about timing because you still had to press a key or a button at just the right time in order to play a good shot.

This impressive game, along with previous versions, will let you play rounds of golf on some of the best golf courses in the world. These include the likes of St Andrews and Augusta.
The courses will be incredibly realistic, and every single aspect of the course will be recreated in full. So you can get an idea of what it would be like to play an actual round of golf on one of these courses.
The one thing, however, that really brings this game to life, and is set to bring a lot of golf games to life in the next few years, is of course the way you control and play your shots. No longer do you have to use a keypad, which is rather old fashioned, because you can now use the Kinect, which comes with the Xbox 360, to actually play the shot as you would in real life.
So you can swing an imaginary golf club in your living room or bedroom, and see where the ball actually goes on your TV screen. If you have a good golf swing, then you should be able to play plenty of good shots, and you will find that this game is incredibly enjoyable. It certainly makes the golf games of previous years look extremely dated.
Of course we all know that the graphics always improve as the years go by, but it is the level of realism and the improvements in the actual gameplay that really help certain genres of games evolve, such as golf games in this instance. Therefore if you are a golf fan, and you have access to a hands-free controller and games console, then it may be worth buying this new brand of golf game.
