Comment: why Diablo 3 1.04 is very fun

When I read 1.4 patch previews, I maintain a wait-and-see as most people, with some expectance. It looks like that they have started moving in the right direction. But the 1.0.3 has revealed that their game has made some very bad choices. After the legends preview article came out, my expectations were immediately overwhelmed. Legendary-level items look cool and strong. Prior to the previews, I also think Blizzard has “no idea caught on” this time and I still think they ignored a legend-tier.

Oh, my god, I found that I was wrong!

Soon, 1.0.4 is on line. This is the first time that I was so excited about landing on Diablo 3 and the game! I woke up and jump to the front of the computer on Saturday until I was stopped by something in real life. In fact, I think I spent more time in playing this weekend than before. Just a few months, the game changes so great. 　　Not like before, because the game is not fun and setting is annoying so I forced myself to play.

Which are better to me in 1.0.4? These are some of them:

1) legend-class goods and packaged goods are now strong, it should be found.

2) Paragon system helps me find the feeling of fighting with aims as in the Diablo 2

3) The falling rare items make “lucky draw” process more interesting.

4) The difficulty of the game is no longer annoying as before, of course –there is still room for the game to be better improved. I was standing in those who think Diablo should improve speed and efficiency of killing monsters, but not is “conquering the tough challenge” game. And I strongly object to deliberately difficult.

Although there are still some issues in the game: forging system continues to waste, the difficulty is still a problem, system has room for improvement, and 1.0.4 is a huge turning point in the game.

In addition to these, there is another reason which gave me high hopes–the development team began to “understand” what players want in diablo game. From some other systems as Jay suggests, I really believe that Diablo 3 will have a bright future.

If you haven’t touched the game for a few months as others, I hope you can catch this chance. From desperate gamers to now, this game is worth playing, I think you’ll enjoy fun with 1.0.4.
