They devastated everything in their path with unstoppable force.However, there is a place on the southern tip of the Old Empire which still seems safe from the clutches of the Titans – the “Crystal Fortress” in Caldera. It is the headquarters of the Inquisition and a place of refuge for the people. It is repeatedly attacked by sea monsters, and supply ships are sunk en route. Nobody knows how long the walls will hold; food and weapons are gradually running out. The hero, now a member of the Inquisition, is sent out to find out how to stop the chaos caused by these creatures from the deep. His quest begins with rumors that the pirates who frequent the southern islands are the only ones who know a way to get rid of the creatures once and for all and end their reign of terror. During his adventurous journey he not only faces new and immense challenges, he also meets old acquaintances who help him on his quest.

With an all-new pirate-based theme, Risen 2: Dark Waters aims to combine the most loved classic RPG gameplay mechanics of the original Risen with a fresh theme and setting on a huge variety of themed island locales. A third-person role-playing game set in a dark and gritty universe, Risen 2: Dark Waters maintains the most immersive features of the original Risen, with multiple approaches to every challenge allowing players to shape the game world based on their own decisions. These choices will serve to unlock new paths, features and additional skills for the character. Together with a highly interactive environment and a full day/night-cycle affecting countless aspects of the game world, Risen 2 will be set in the most immersive RPG game world so far.

How to download the game?
It′s simple, with Steam.

Steam is a game community where you can download games or interact with other gamers. Here you can download the latest games (beta versions), search for friends, search for the best servers, get automatic updates, chat with friends (also ingame) and much more.

a) Download steam: http://store.steampowered.com/about/?l=english
On the left you are going to find the button: "Install Steam Now". Just click and a pop-up will appear, where you can download Steam.

b) Install Steam: Double-click on the downloaded file: SteamInstall.msi
Follow the instructions during installation. Important: choose the language steam will be available to you (just select the field in front of your country language selection). Steam will be installed...

c) Setup your Steam Account
After Steam installation a new window opens: "Open new account" or "log into existing account".
If you don′t have a Steam account, please click on "open new account".
Read the terms & conditions, accept bei clicking "I agree". Registering a Steam-account is for free!
Follow further instructions (setup account name and password).
After setting up your account name and password and providing a valid email address, your Steam-account has been opened. The program can be found in the tray-icon and is normally located on the right bottom of the task or symbol bar.

d) Register the game at Steam
The Steam window shows several tabs on top, one of the tab shows "Games".
Please click on "my game" and two new buttons appear on the buttom: "add a non-steam game" and "Register a product at Steam"...
Please keep your CD-Key available and click at "Register a product at Steam" and follow the instructions.

e) Download the game
If your key has been entered successful, the game will be listed below "Games" with the status "install". Klick on the game and the Download will start immediately. The game will be installed and it will start automatically.
