Alright for those of us still roaming the Mojave or for those of us who recently got Fallout New Vegas for Christmas, here is a way to get a lot of money in Fallout New Vegas.
Incidentally this is also the trophy/achievement known as The Courier who broke the bank. First thing you need to know about this strategy is that you need quite a bit of luck. I know at the beginning of the game when you are picking your stats it says luck doesn’t play much into gambling, WRONG! If you already have a character made outside of leveling up and picking another luck point there are two things you can do. 1. get some Naughty Nightwear(Bought as Mick n Ralphs) which will give you +1 to luck when you wear it. 2. go to the New Vegas Medical Clinic and get the luck implant for 4000 caps giving you an additional luck point (don’t worry in the casinos you will make way more then 4000). The higher the luck the better the odds. I went in with 8/10 luck and won about 80% of my hands.
Alright now that that’s dealt with time to hit up the strip casinos. A word of advice STAY AWAY FROM THE SLOTS. I won once and it sucked me in till I lost over 1000 on it. The bread winner here is Blackjack. The easiest way to get a lot of money in Fallout New Vegas is to win at blackjack until you get kicked out of each casino. Here are a few tips on how to get in and out quickly. Don’t be afraid to double down! If you are at 11-15 the double down option will often get you a 20 or 21 with high luck giving you bonus chips. Split the cards when you can. Splitting can make you win twice as much but also means you can lose twice as much. Always ALWAYS assume the hidden card for the dealer is a face card. He may only be showing a but staying with 15 is not a good idea imo.
