Once you get to world 2 in Super Mario 3D land you will have to find a new set of Star coins. This location guide will help you get them all while you play! Let’s go get them.
You need these to unlock certain levels so be sure to grab them.
Super Mario 3D Land World 2 Star coin locations guide 2-1 – As soon as you get in the level you should see the green telescope. Look through it and you will see the goal. Above the goal is a Toad trying to get your attention. Look at him and he will throw a coin down. Watch where it goes. It will end up on a hill make your way down to it. Once you get to the hill you should see orange squares you can jump on. Jump up and grab the coin.
Super Mario 3D Land World 2 Star coin locations guide 2-1 2 - You will see a green pipe right next the hill you just went up for the last coin. Go in the pipe and step on the Eye platform on the fround to see how you can get that coin. The 3D kind of jacks up the perspective on this one but it’s still easy to get.
Super Mario 3D Land World 2 Star coin locations guide 2-1 3 – The last coin is right after you make the jump with the three coins over the gap. You will kill two flying Goombas. You should see the coin and the gap you can’t jump to get it. Go around to the left and go under the steps to get it.
Super Mario 3D Land World 2 Star coin locations guide 2-2 – At the start of the level step on the green switch and it will make a temporary bridge. Cross that bridge and about halfway through you will see the coin. Jump to it and grab it.
Super Mario 3D Land World 2 Star coin locations guide 2-2 2 – After the check point you will see an unlit torch. Toss a fireball and light it to see a coin trail appear. Follow it. If you don’t have to fire flower go to the top step and jump the gap across. You should see the opening on the other side. In there is the coin.
Super Mario 3D Land World 2 Star coin locations guide 2-2 3 – Once you make it to the end you will go through a pipe. Once out of that pipe you are in the world again and can see grass. To the left you should see a wall. You need to break the blocks under the wall then run and hit R to go underneath it. In there is the coin. Jump up or wall jump to get it.
Super Mario 3D Land World 2 Star coin locations guide mystery box – In order to get the Star coin from here you just have to kill all the bugs in the time allowed and grab it.
Super Mario 3D Land World 2 Star coin locations guide 2-3 – The first coin in the level is on Mario’s right foot. If you didn’t realize yet the level is an old school Mario. There is a block you need to break then use the Tanooki suit on the switch to go up and up until you make it to a Luigi platform. In the middle is the coin grab it.
Super Mario 3D Land World 2 Star coin locations 2-3 2 – The second coin is after the second platform. You will see a ring and through that is a coin. You need to get through the ring and grab the coin. Make sure you have the propeller block. Drop through the circle and grab the coin then use the block to jump back up to safety.
Super Mario 3D Land World 2 Star coin locations guide 2-3 3 – One the last platform you will yet again need the Tanooki suit. The last platform is the one with the heart shape of coins with a star in the middle. On the bottom left is a box you need to break. Break it then use the tail to go up higher with the switch. At the top you will see the coin jump for it then go finish the level.
Super Mario 3D Land World 2 Star coin locations guide 2-4 – The first coin in this level is after the Bowser box that spits out Goombas. You should see it on the platform protected by a spike barrier so you either have to go around or jump and risk the platform falling. What I did was take the red one then jump and land on the blue one as it switch to get the coin. Watch for the Goombas though.
Super Mario 3D Land World 2 Star coin locations guide 2-4 2 – Shortly after the last coin you will come to another platform with a rainbow block. Jump on the rainbow block and double jump to go up into the air. At the end of this path is the star coin.
Super Mario 3D Land World 2 Star coin locations guide 2-4 3 - The last coin is on the last set of platforms. You will see a floating box taunting you to jump and grab it. Don’t it’s only a coin. Instead jump on top of the box and it will lead you to the last coin.
Super Mario 3D Land World 2 Star coin locations guide Pirate Ship – As you go through the ship you will see an orange ! box. Go in that box and you will up on a ship with a bunch of coins. Jump up on the metal platform to see two time clocks and your first coin.
Super Mario 3D Land World 2 Star coin locations guide Pirate ship 2 – After taking the ! box back you will have to jump from one ship to the next. you will see a large coin block. Hit it then jump on top of it. To the right of that is the coin. Jump to get it.
Super Mario 3D Land World 2 Star coin locations Pirate ship 3 – Lastly you will board another ship then see a ton of coins below it. You can withe jump down or go around I”d advise jumping down to it. Down there is the last coin for the level. Grab it and go beat the boss.
