Rise Of The Tomb Raider Guide: Side Quest Guide

Rise Of The Tomb Raider Side Quest Guide

You get your first side quest about an hour into the game.

Communications Breakdown

You can find this mission at the Logging Camp base camp. Talk to the man that is there and he will give you the mission. Here is a picture of their locations on the map.

The only difficult one is in the center. Start at the wolf cave and go to the right. Here you should see an ice wall you can climb. Climb up that and follow the path from there to reach the top. Once you have them all, return to the Logging Camp for your reward. This will unlock the Lock pick for you.

The Unlucky Ones

You get this quest from the guy at the Logging Camp base. You will need to free some prisoners from the Russians for this mission. You will have to jump across the gaps here and then use a rope arrow to get higher.

Kill the guards on the outside and then go in. The prisoners are on the bottom floor, kill the guards and free them. Return for your reward.

Misguided Intelligence

You can get this at the Lumbar Camp after you beat “The Unlucky Ones”. You have to find the bird and kill it before it can fly away. You can find the bird here on the map.

Shoot it quick before it flies away. If it does get away, the second spot is up where the highest tower was during this guys first mission.

Dangerous Territory

You can find this quest giver right here on the map.

You will have to clear out a wolf den for the quest. There are 5 wolves hiding in this den. I lured them out a couple at a time so I didn’t get overran. Return for a sight for your Pistol.

Gulag Recon

You can find this quest giver right here on the map. You need to complete Dangerous Territory first.

You will need to go to the Gulag area and find three pieces of intel. Here are the locations on the map. This will get you a rifle suppressor.

Defensive Strategy

You can get this in the Village in the Geothermal Valley. You will have to get Hardwood Branches and Deer Hides to complete the quest. I had enough to turn them in right there but if you don’t you can hunt Deer around the area and loot the little trees.

You will need to drop the supplies in next to the quest giver and then down near the river, just go to the quest marker. This will get you the Battle Worn outfit.

Surveillance Disruption

You can get this quest at the cabin down by the river. You will need to hunt some drones around the area. Use your survival vision to help you find the Drones in the area and use your rifle to shoot them down. Here is the quest start location.

Ancient Secrets

This quest will give you bonus coins for each Tomb you have explored and beat. You will get the Dark Aegis Outfit for beating all of them. Check out our Tomb Guide here if you need a hand finding or beating them.

A Hearty Meal

You get this at the Cabin near the river in the Geothermal Valley, the same spot you got the Drone kill quest. You will need to gather Mushrooms and Boar Meat to complete the quest. Across the river, to the east, you can find a Boar cave with Mushrooms and the Boars you need. This will get you the Huntress Outfit.
