Begin by visiting with Petra Venj at The Reef. If you don’t see this you may not be a high enough level, or you may not own the House of Wolves DLC. When you arrive, check to see if Petra has this Bounty listed in her inventory, and if she doesn’t you’ll have to wait for her stock to refresh the following Tuesday. Even if she doesn’t have it, this particular target gives you an Ether Key, so this is worth the effort even if you just happen to stumble upon it.
Head to Orbit and set a course for Earth. You want to choose the Patrol option, and when you spawn in you should find yourself at The Steppes. In order to reach The Divide, hop on your Sparrow and head into the building behind you. You’ll have to dodge some fire from the enemy, but you can ride up the stairs and all the way through the building without having to walk. The Divide is actually the area that you’re in as soon as you exit the building.

The area isn’t that large. It contains three buildings and a center yard. The event will start about every 10 minutes, and can be at the opposite end of the yard from where you entered, or it can be to the right and behind the building from where you entered. Our suggestion is to turn right when you reach The Divide, jumping on the nearby building and then way up to the top of the light pole. From here you can see just about everything, and it’s a great place to engage targets with weapons like the Ice Breaker. You will most likely have to hop down and get your hands dirty at some point, but this is a good starting location.
Eventually you’ll get a message in the bottom left hand corner of your HUD that tells you A Pack of Wolves is Prowling. This will be followed by a Fallen Skiff dropping off the first of several waves of high level foes, and the first wave contains two important targets, Scorch Captains. These enemies will carry something called the Scorch Cannon, a 10-shot launcher that can blast through several waves of Fallen and take you right to the final fight against Pirsis, Pallas-Bane.
When your main target shows, try to hit them with everything you have as quickly as you can. We like to start with our Grenade, and then move to our Heavy Ammo and Super Ability. If we have the Ice Breaker, it’s also a great way to do some big damage, but players shouldn’t forget about the Vestian Dynasty. It’s the weapon given to your by Petra Venj for completing A Kell Rising, and it’s specifically designed to cause major damage to Fallen enemies.
When Pirsis, Pallas-Bane has fallen, you will have a message that speaks of an Ether Key, and a 90 second timer to find the chest that it unlocks. There are several locations that you can find it.
When you have your loot, make your way back to The Reef and claim some additional rewards from Petra Venj. If you’d rather knock off more Bounties, try our Destiny: House of Wolves Guide.
