Although there are many tapes to collect in Just Cause 3, each tape will be unlocked in sequence, regardless of the order in which they are collected. This means players won’t have to worry about missing out on parts of Di Ravello’s story. Players will earn the Diary of the Madman achievement, as well as the fierce Golden Urga Mstitel attack chopper upon collecting all of the Di Ravello tapes.
This guide includes map coordinates and a brief context description for each tape location. The tapes are found throughout three island regions: Insula Dracon, Insula Fonte, and Insula Striate.
1. Capita Est (44.25 N, 35.49 E) – Search the second level of the ruins. The tape is found just before reaching the third set of stairs to the top level.
2. Capita Est (44.13 N, 36.80 E) – In between the yellow building and a large wall, look for this tape near a pile of garbage.
3. Massos (43.39 N, 37.05 E) – This tape is found upon a pile of debris within the graveyard of cars.
4. Capite East (43.60 N, 35.84 E) – Locate a building with a national flag flying out front. Dig through the pile of garbage on the porch to discover the tape.
5. Capite West (42.93 N, 35.18 E) – Locate a dark stone building indicated with a national flag. The tape is found on the porch of this building.
6. Trio (42.69 N, 35.07 E) – Ascend to the top of the lighthouse that’s facing towards the ocean and locate the tape on the upper walkway.
7. Trio (41.93 N, 35.03 E) – Search for this tape beneath the wood scaffolding in the ruins, just before the church.
8. Trio (41.77 N, 35.14 E) – Look for a white sailboat beside a red paddle boat. Search the bow of the white sailboat to find the tape.
9. Trio (41.87 N, 35.79 E) – Locate a red building that has green shutters. On the west side of this building, you will find a tape beside the bench beneath a lamp.
10. Petra (41.80 N, 36.47 E) – Locate the ruins and head up to the top of the tower. The tape is found in a corner, between two of the standing walls.
11. Petra (41.84 N, 36.97 E) – Look for some wood scaffolding behind Sancte Cinta. There is a dumpster beneath the wood scaffolding, with a tape hidden behind it.
12. Massos (42.19 N, 37.60 E) – Locate a flowery set of stairs leading away from the western road. Search a small nearby alley to find the tape amongst some trash cans.
1. Sirocco Sud (38.40 N, 42.37 E) – Find a small house that is facing towards the ocean, and search its porch for the tape.
2. Sirocco Sud (38.65 N, 42.65 E) – Locate a pair of benches facing north toward the water. You will find the tape in between these benches, just ahead of the planter box.
3. Sirocco Nord (38.95 N, 42.66 E) – Look for a tool box along the east wall of a gas station to find the tape nearby.
4. Sirocco Nord (39.29 N, 42.87 E) – Look along the outside of the buildings for a balcony with a clothesline and several potted plants. You’ll find the tape on the balcony facing north.
5. Lacos (40.07 N, 43.71 E) – Locate a white house with a red rooftop. The tape is found on the hidden balcony that reaches into the hillside.
6. Lacos (40.16 N, 42.76 E) – Look for a yellow building that has a balcony for a roof. The balcony should be facing east. Head up to find the tape next to a bench atop the balcony.
7. Lacos (40.69 N, 43.53 E) – This tape is found along a white fence in the northeast area of Alba.
8. Lacos (40.95 N, 44.18 E) – This tape is found near some tables with umbrellas beside some black metal fencing.
9. Bala (40.76 N, 45.20 E) – Locate an orange building facing toward the ocean. Search the upper balcony to find the tape, near a bench and several tree boxes.
10. Plagia (41.58 N, 44.68 E) – Find this tape just to the left of the gas station doors.
11. Plagia (42.36 N, 44.37 E) – Near some broken cars, locate a white wall lining the eastern side of the road. The tape is found on the other side of the metal gate in the wall.
12. Plagia (42.47 N, 44.20 E) – Approach the vineyards from the east side. Head down some stairs along the path towards the vineyards to find the tape.
13. Plagia (42.51 N, 43.95 E) – Look beside the locked door at the top of the air traffic control tower to find the tape.
14. Plagia (42.25 N, 43.78 E) – Locate some metal gates facing the eastern road. It shouldn’t be too hard to find the tape nearby.
15. Feno (42.37 N, 42.86 E) – Look for a yellow house in front of a field of sunflowers. Find the tape upon the balcony on the east side of this house.
16. Feno (42.73 N, 43.29 E) – Head to the far east side of Babica. Look for a building with a rooftop garden. The tape is found here.
17. Feno (42.88 N, 43.00 E) – Locate a church with a large tower. Head towards the building across the street from the church. The tape is found on the balcony of this building.
18. Feno (42.42 N, 42.03 E) – Look for a brick building that faces the eastern road, and search its balcony for the tape.
19. Lavanda (41.95 N, 41.59 E) – This tape is found on yet another balcony. Locate the police station, and search the building just north of the area to find the tape on the east balcony.
20. Lavanda (41.84 N, 42.34 E) – Look for a gas station, and head around to the back side to find the women’s restroom. The tape is found just in front of the restroom door.
1. Montana (48.09 N, 43.36 E) – Locate the tallest mountain in Montana Province. The tape is found on the mountaintop to the east of this point. You will likely need a plane or helicopter to get here.
2. Litore Torto (49.26 N, 46.25 E) – Look for the tape along the southern end of the catwalk at the north building.
3. Litore Torto (50.31 N, 44.98 E) – Search for this tape within some garbage and rubble on the side of the road.
4. Grande Pastura (50.93 N, 41.21 E) – Look within the ruins for a bull-headed fountain. The tape is found nearby.
5. Grande Pastura (49.97 N, 40.11 E) – Locate a ruined house along the main road on the north side. The tape is found inside the ruined house near its center.
6. Grande Pastura (48.52 N, 40.75 E) – Search for the crater in the mountainside. Along the crater’s west edge, look for the tape beside a rock and some toppled trees.
7. Val De Mar (47.51 N, 39.93 E) – Look for a tape near the edge of the dock.
8. Val De Mar (45.98 N, 42.16 E) – Locate some roofless ruins and get ready to grapple. When you spot a building with a metal door near a lantern, use your grapple to reach the top of the wall and drop down into the building. You’ll find the tape upon a pile of debris inside.
9. Val De Mar (44.91 N, 42.22 E) – Head to the top of the factory and look for the control room. A tape is located nearby.
10. Maestrale (45.38 N, 39.07 E) – Locate some ruins facing west towards the checkpoint wall. The tape will be at the top of the stairs in these ruins.
11. Maestrale (46.18 N, 39.16 E) – Within the ruined village, look for a tape at the top of the tower.
12. Maestrale (46.99 N, 38.30 E) – Look through the ruins for a tape sitting between one of the walls and a nearby pillar.
13. Maestrale (47.54 N, 37.78 E) – Keep searching through the ruins to find another tape atop a staircase.
14. Maestrale (47.40 N, 36.05 E) – Look for this tape beneath a lamp at the northern side of the arch.
15. Maestrale (48.22 N, 35.34 E) – Enter a ruined building from the west side. You’ll find the tape within this building.
16. Maestrale (48.57 N, 34.83 E) – Enter the factory from the opening that looks out toward the water. The tape is found beside some trash nearby.
17. Maestrale (48.30 N, 32.87 E) – Enter the building and locate the tape along the center catwalk.
18. Libeccio (45.18 N, 33.39 E) – Look for a small office inside the building. Search along the catwalk south of this room to find the tape.
19. Libeccio (44.98 N, 35.24 E) – Locate the building that is under construction. The tape is found on the second level down from the upper level, on a nearby ledge.
20. Libeccio (44.88 N, 35.36 E) – This tape is found beside a sun chair on one of the balconies.
21. Libeccio (45.83 N, 35.42 E) – Search along the northern fence at a small farmhouse to find this tape.
22. Libeccio (45.72 N, 36.15 E) – Locate a building with green blinds. The tape is located on the southern part of the rooftop.
23. Libeccio (45.25 N, 37.87 E) – Locate a pair of broken down buses to find the tape hidden in between the vehicles.
24. Regno (44.41 N, 37.82 E) – Search the top of a crane to find the tape near a cable coil and some counterweights
.25. Regno (44.07 N, 38.17 E) – Locate an orange temple within a walled garden. The tape is found on the temple’s east side.
26. Regno (44.35 N, 38.45 E) – When you find the construction site, look for some stacks of lumber to find a tape sitting nearby.
27. Regno (44.22 N, 38.68 E) – Follow a crane to the rooftop of an adjacent building. Search near the portable restroom stalls to find the tape.
28. Regno (44.21 N, 39.30 E) – Travel to the eastern dock, and locate a blue crane close to land. The tape is found upon this crane.
29. Prima (43.94 N, 39.99 E) – Look upon the southern balcony of a house close to the road to find this tape.
30. Prima (43.71 N, 40.15 E) – Look for a sign that says ‘Soda Salate’ under the walkway beneath the second floor of one of the buildings. The tape is found near this sign.
31. Prima (43.94 N, 40.66 E) – This tape is found within a playground on the back side of a big red building.
32. Prima (43.76 N, 41.60 E) – Along the southeast side of Vista Fonte, search the lounge area on the rooftop of a nearby building to find this next tape.
33. Prima (43.91 N, 41.65 E) – Look for a building on the north side of town that is colored white, red, and yellow. The tape is found beside a dumpster behind this building.
34. Prima (43.82 N, 43.38 E) – Search the floor of the balcony on a building across from Kool Kebabs. The tape will be sitting in between a pair of flower pots.
35. Prima (43.77 N, 43.50 E) – Locate another building with green blinds. Look for the tape on the west balcony underneath a clothesline.
36. Costa Sud (44.54 N, 44.18 E) – Go up to the corner house balcony to find a tape on the northwest side.
37. Costa Sud (44.15 N, 45.36 E) – Look for a white building with a sign that reads ‘Pulvere De Fee’. Head up to the balcony to find the tape next to a table that has a white and blue umbrella.
38. Costa Sud (44.25 N, 45.59 E) – This tape is found on yet another balcony. This time, look on the balcony of the yellow building to find the tape in the middle of a pair of clotheslines.
39. Costa Sud (45.23 N, 46.21 E) – Locate a busted factory building, and search near the west corner. A tape is found upon the southern catwalk of the factory.
