At the beginning of the Night Terrors Mission in Act 2, you have a chance to solve three puzzles and get four additional attribute points for Hawke. This guide shows you how to solve all the Night Terrors Puzzles and get the bonus attribute points.
Puzzle #1: How To Catch The Floating Book
Catching the book floating around you is easy with the correct timing. Study the book's route, notice at which points it is stopping. Then go stand in one of those points. For example, stand between the two pillars on the west. Just before the floating book comes to a stop, interact with the location where it is about to stop. If you timed it correctly, you will be interacting with the book just as it stops. That will award you a bonus attribute point. It might take you a few tries, but stay in the location where the book stops, and keep trying to interact with it a split second before it comes to a stop. If you are having difficulties, another trick is to pause the game just before the book stops, interact with it, then unpause the game. Solving this puzzle awards you one attribute point.
Puzzle #2: Re-Arranging the Barrels
After completing the Floating Book Puzzle, head east and through the door. Against the northern wall of the corridor you will see seven barrels, four on top and three on the bottom. There are three large barrels on top, and your goal is to rearrange the barrels so that the large ones are on the bottom and the small ones are on top of them. You have 18 moves to do it, but you can do it in 14 if you follow the guide below. (you lose your attribute point if you dont do it in 18 moves or less so its recommended you follow this guide exactly). Solving this puzzle awards one attribute point.
Second Barrel Puzzle
After completing the first Barrel Puzzle, head south in the corridor, then east, then open the door to the North. You will enter a room with some more barrels. There are 10 barrels against the northern wall, six brown ones and four red ones. The goal in this puzzle is to have a block of four red barrels in the center. Again, you have to do it in less then 18 moves. This can be done in 16 moves if you follow our guide carefully. Solving this puzzle awards two attribute points, for a total of four attribute points for solving all of the puzzles.
