Mass Effect 3 Walkthrough Part 13: Barla Von, Benning: Evidence, and Biotic Amp Interfaces

This guide will cover a number of side quests, many of which are pretty simple in scope and execution. You can technically complete any of these when you begin to reconcile the Genophage with the Krogan, but you may also be better off waiting until you have progressed that quest a little bit. There are several ways to complete most of these quests, though. First of these is the Barla Von quest. Head to the Presidium Commons on the Citadel and speak with Liara. She will ask you to go to the bank and speak with a volus named Barla Von regarding a gang of mercenaries stuck behind enemy lines. He will ask you to help them. Travel to the Krogan Demilitarized Zone. Head to the Dranek system and scan Rothla. You will find the mercenaries here. Now simply return to Barla Von in the Commons to collect your reward.

The next quest is Benning: Evidence. You will have to locate an ambassador’s son, who left on a mission to the planet Benning and never returned. His squad-mates refuse to provide details, so you will have to find out what happened yourself. Although you received this mission fairly early, you should wait a while to complete it. During a later mission, N7: Cerberus Abduction, you will be sent to the surface of Benning. Here you can find the ambassador’s son’s dog tags. If you miss them here, head to the Spectre terminal in the Citadel to pick them up for a price. Return the dog tags to the ambassador to complete your quest.

Speak with an asari at the Huerta Memorial Hospital on the Citadel to obtain the Biotic Amp Interfaces mission. The asari will tell you that she has been trying to contact Grissom Academy to get information on Biotic Amps but can’t reach them. Again, there are two ways to obtain this item. Later in the game, you can visit a Spectre terminal to buy the Biotic Amps. Otherwise, speak with Specialist Traynor on the Normandy to learn about the Academy. You may not be able to access this information right away, but eventually she will send you to the Academy for a mission. Examine the computer by the exit of this mission to find the Biotic Amp Schematics. Either way, head back to the asari in the hospital and claim your reward. You will not be able to do this after recruiting the Krogan, so be sure to do this fairly early.
