Talk to Ephran Zell in the Antechamber of the Tomb of Tulak Hord on Korriban. This is a level 8 Heroic Quest. It is Heroic 2+, meaning it is intended for parties of two people level 8 or above. But you should be able to solo it if you are level 10 or above, or if you have a companion.
Ephran Zell: Come closer, acolyte! The wind outside has torn my ears to tatters, and my eyes grow strained and bloody in the dark. I've studies this tomb for years - slept on its stones and dreamed of its depths. Now, I need assistance to solve its final mystery. Ask him who he is. He tells you that he is Ephran Zell. For generations, his family has studied the tombs of Korriban, traveling from one to the next to learn the history of the Sith. This tomb is the final resting place of Tulak Hord. The tomb's maze was built to his precise specifications. But he built his maze to hold more than just his body. He built it to secure his greatest creation - a terrible machine. The Red Engine. Ask him where you come in. Ephran Zell tells you that he need you. The machine needs you. The machine was his life's work - a perfect puzzle that hid all his secrets. It was a vault and a library all at once. The soldiers in the Academy - they say the Red Engine was never completed. They say it never functioned. But Ephran knows how it works, and how to fuel it.

Choose the second option to ask him why he won't inform the scholars. Ephran tells you that since he is not a Sith nor an educated men, the scholars do not believe that he could discover the truth. They ignore his finding and are blinded by arrogance.
Anyone can activate the Red Engine, but unless it receives its sacrifice, it will only sputter and die. The machine needs blood and hatred to become fully operational. If a Sith could slay the tomb's beast in its presence, their deaths would be its fuel. Find the machine within the tomb. Work it's mechanisms. And when at last it reveals Tulak Hord's secrets, bring the scripture to Ephran Zell so that he has the knowledge he has dreamed of.

Repeatable - This mission can be repeated once per day. It is reset in the morning.
A researcher named Ephran Zell told you about an ancient Sith device known as "The Red Engine", which is said to contain Tulak Hord's greatest secrets. Ephran Zell asked you to brave the tomb, activate the Red Engine, then kill creatures in its presence to fuel the device. Activate the Red Engine in the machine vault in the tomb of Tulak Hord.
Your first task is to activate the Red Engine. Work your way to the Machine Vault in the Tulak Hord Tomb. Then, enter the story area and go to the chamber in the Northeast. Kneel in front of the Red Engine and channel Dark Force.
Some K'lor'slugs spawn. Slay them. These include Klorslug Bloodwurms, Bloodfeasters, and Bloodrippers. After you slay those, a K'lor'slug Bloodqueen appears. She is a level 8 Burrower boss with 1670 HP.
After you defeat her, get the tablet, and return to Ephran Zell in the Antechamber. Tell him the Red Engine produced an inscription and ask him if he can translate the hieroglyphs on the stone. Ephran is astonished to hold the Tablet of Tulak Hord, inscribed in the language of the ancient Sith. These are Tulak Hord's teachings. The very methods he used to build the terrible machine below. Ephran has dreamed of this tablet. Dreamed of looking upon Tulak Hord's teachings and studying the arcane science of the dark side. He is honored that you gave him this opportunity. He wants you to take small relics he has unearthed that deserve to be used by a true Sith. Not a reward, but recognition of your strength.
As a reward, you get a nice amount of credits and experience points, as well as a (blue) rare armor piece.
This concludes the heroic mission, "The Hate Machine".
