You regain consciousness next to the bus that crashed. You can access the journal for hints. You need to find the highway, put some ground between yourself and the bus. Near the bus, pick up a walkie-talkie. Go under a log and down some a road, through a narrow ravine. Pick up a flashlight from a body on the ground. Keep exploring your surroundings. Cross a narrow beam of wood. After you cross, the beam collapses behind you, making it impossible to go back.
You start climbing up the rocky wall. The female officer, Anne Cunningham, calls you to stop, and put your hands up where she can see them, and to lay on the ground. She is on the other side of the canyon. You tell her you were just looking for help, but she does not believe you. See starts crossing towards your side of the chasm, walking on the cliff walls. She almost slips. She keeps pointing her gun at you. You tell her that this is stupid and that you will meet her back down in the bus.
She slips, her gun falling down into the chasm. At the last moment she grabs the wall and hangs on to it with both hands. She asks you to pull her up. Your choices are:
Help Her
Leave Her
Helping Anne Cunningham:
If you choose this choice, you tell her to hang on as you approach her with the intent of pulling her up to safety. But you are too late, and she loses her grip and falls down the chasm.
Leaving Anne Cunningham:
You tell her that it's not like if you pull her up she will let you go and that you are not going back to prison. She demands you pull her up, then begs you to help her. She loses her grip, and slips down to the chasm, you hear her screams as she falls down.
Go back and climb up the stone wall again. You manage to get back up to the highway. You now need to find a way out of the area. Walk down the highway, to reach a gas station. There is a sign on the wall, "Have you seen this dog?". There is a gate there, but it is locked. To bust the lock open, find a weapon and attack the lock. Next to one of the gas pumps there is a toolbox, with a wrench next to it. Pick the wrench up and go back to the fence. Break the lock and enter. You can pick up a brick near the gate and throw it at the crow on the fence, to practice your aiming
Climb the ladder to the roof where the big GAS neon sign is. There is a wheelchair there, laying sideways, its wheels rotating from the wind. Get to the other side of the roof, and climb down. Rotate a handle near the calendar to open the garage.
Go down the path and reach the next building, the souvenir shop. Open the door next to the "Working Rules" sign and enter. A sign on the desk inside says "Devil's Pit". Pick up some ancient game tokens from the desk. Approach the Free Ticket sign for the tram. But you can't find the machine. Go through the door, find the Tram. Pull the switch to activate the tram. You need to obtain a ticket to get to Devil's Pit tram..
There is another building outside, across the big Devil's Pit Aerial Train sign. An old '52 truck is parked there, a Flathead V8. Suddenly, a mailman shows up out of nowhere.
