The Witcher 2 Walkthrough Part 56: The Blood Curse Part 3 & Hatred Symbolized (Roche)

After you have completed the Death Symbolized quest and retrieved the Dun Banner’s Standard from the ghost, head through the caves to meet up with Zoltan. The tunnels will form a sort of maze, so stick to the following instructions to find the key items and meet up with Zoltan. From your starting point at the northwestern mouth of the cave, head forward until you come to a branch in the road, with one branch leading back and the other leading off to the side. A third portion of the path will continue on straight ahead. Follow the straight part of the path and you will quickly reach another intersection. Turn to the right and follow the skinny corridor to its conclusion. When this path ends, turn to the left and follow this small path all the way to its end as well. Here you will find a Bullvore. Kill the creature with your Silver Sword, and then trade out your current Silver Sword for the Blood Sword found right behind where the Bullvore spawned. This is the best Silver Sword that you will encounter until Act 3, so be sure to grab it while you are in the tunnels.

After grabbing the sword, turn around and begin to head back from the direction that you came from. When you reach the perpendicular intersection of the paths, turn to the right, down the path that you walked down before. Follow this path all the way back, and follow the curve around to the right. This branch of the path will lead you to Zoltan. You will have to take on another Bullvore first, though. This should be a piece of cake, especially now with your new Blood Sword. When you find Zoltan, he will inform you that he failed to grab the sword from Saskia. He does, however, have the next best thing.

Saskia herself will be along for the ride now. After hearing about the mists, and how her sword could potentially clear the land of them, Saskia will have volunteered to give up her sword to you so that you may clear the curse from the land. This will complete the quest Hatred Symbolized. Even as you complete this quest, you will begin another. Iorveth has apparently lost his spear in a dice game, meaning that it’s floating around out there somewhere with a very lucky dice player. This will trigger the quest The Spear of Destiny, in which you will have to track down the enchanted weapon. You will now have to head out and complete this quest before returning, yet again, to the Blood Curse quest.
