Xenoblade Chronicles Guide- Walkthrough Part 12.4: Colony 9 Quests

Many quests are available in Colony 9- most of these are from random colonists and members of the military.  With such uninspiring names as ‘Hunt Quest 3' and ‘Collect Quest 2', while these quests aren’t remarkable, the rewards often make them worthwhile- especially the reward of increasing your Affinity in the Colony 9 Area and thus getting access to more trades and more special quests.

It’s also worth noting that a number of these quests- particularly Hunt Quests and Challenge Quests- are found on the same NPC- up to four of them given by a single NPC.  For the sake of uncovering quests, it pays to talk to nameless NPCs multiple times when you encounter them, especially if they give you a quest the first time- they often will have another quest for you as well.

Find some glowing rocks.
Requires: 2 Rainbow Zirconia

Find the Blue Glass Bead in Colony 9 (Key Item).
Rewards: 1200G 50exp


Find that bug!
Requires: 1 Giant Hornet
Rewards: 300G


Kill 2 Lake Flamii
Rewards: 800G


Kill 1 Baby Armu
Rewards: 1500G


Kill 2 Stone Krabble
Rewards: 800G


Get some hard objects.
Requires: 2 Small Shell
Rewards: 500G

Kill 2 Ridge Antol
